Really good game with awesome graphics. Im greek myself and this is the EXACT same army that Alexander the Great had. Thumbs up if you like this game. :D

Whao, once you've taken over persia, All you need is Companion Cavalry with full upgrades for most enemy troops. Might lose a couple CC if the enemy sends spearmen but you can just overrun them with your 3 sec horse recharge. 5/5 Love the game. :D

lol at oly exedus, not only was swordfall kingdoms made after this game, they were made by the same auther. i am not sure if it is even possible to be more stupid then you are rigt now.

@OlyExodus Dude, same uploader, same developer, search a bit before whining. If you check the website, they only have 3 games, all the others are re-editions of one of these 3 original games.

I'm experiencing some issues...this game was so great I wanted to play it again. So I pressed 'New Game' and selected my difficulty...and it told me I had won, with the statistics I had from playing the first time.

Battle Instructions: Use Pikeman/Hypaspist/Cavalry combination in the middle game. Archer and Peltasts are somewhat useless in the game, since Cavalry takes a quick shot and u have to send pikeman to stop them. (They are actually good, but there are better units) Against Immortals, use well-upgraded Hypastist. (Range units can work, but u have to send them earlier, which hypastist works better) Against Range, use Cavalry. Against Cavalry, use Long Spearman (Pikeman,Guard) when you have almost infinite money, use Guard/Companion Cavalry since it is the best (and the most expensive) combination. Always remember to hotkey your units to counter-attack your enemy. Upgrade wisely. They really affects the game. (Please press + if this helped you)

Instructions for "Son of Zeus" (Always listen to your advisors)
On the first battle, use "Cavalry" to win without losing any units
After the first battle, upgrade "Trade Routes" and "War Taxes" with all money you have
Without ending a turn, attack Lydia. Use "Cavalry" only. (+100% first attack is useful)
After invading Lydia, use all your money to upgrade "Trade Routes" and "War Taxes."
End the turn. Upgrade "Money"(Trade Routes, War Taxes), leadership, and make "Militia"
Attack Illyria. Cavalry against Archers, Cavalry after Militia against Cavalry, Peltast against Footmen. Then upgrade "Money" and end turn. This continues before enemy general comes to boarder when you have to unlock "Hypaspist" Attack the boarder with "Hypaspist" +1 sword. Then attack Dacia with +2 sword +1 Armor "Hypaspist"/"Peltast" to kill Swordmen in one shot. Then attack Cilicia. "Hypaspist" will take down in first attack. Research "Pikeman" and "Money"

Son of zeus mode in 5 years!! (taking 1 province each turn)
I used almost only cavalry, except for Cilicia and Dacia, were i used also javelinmen to take the infantry.
The charge ability is very powerfull if u use it well.
Ask me for more detailed strategy.

there should be some "high scores" or something like that: kill/death ratio, gold earned/time taken... i had 859,400 gold over 9.5 years, 819 deaths for 3147 kills, difficulty emperor (i tried to start in "son of zeus" but lost pretty quickly, mighty me)
also the emperor darius is a piece of cake, he barely has 90 units to deploy ! ! outnumber him and you're done!

I like it how you can take on the masses of armies of the persians with just a little army. Makes you feel like you are Alexander yourself (the real Persian army was huge too, larger than the Macedonian army anyway).

Caution Spoiler: Zeus mode in 13.5 years with only Pikemen! Upgrade long spear. Defend Macedonia or Thrace against the weakest army. Don't go a turn with both of them defeated. Head Noth via Sythia then East then South and capture Persia while upgrading money and leadership. Upgrade defense and attack and recovery. After that 50 pikemen can take on any army whatsoever when sent on one line in a stream.
There is an annoying bug that shows a black error messgage after a certain point of the game. Otherwise, great game and even semi-educational.

bobertlyer's hint is actually good specially the 3rd hint.. and just adding something its better to get about 6-8 lands for bigger income, since you already have greece and macedonia so just conquer Illyria, Dacia, Thrace, Scythia, Lydia, Phrygian.
