You think that he could just go on Itunes to get music, but NO, he has to fly around, killing monsters to get music. :)

5/5 this is a solid traditional shooter with a couple of fun upgrades. Decent music and graphics give it a nice old school arcade feeling. I'd actually rate this a 4.9 if I could because the controls are a bit screwy. There's an annoying 'rubber band' effect when Speed is upgraded all the way. You move your cursor and the ship bounces around like crazy under it instead of gracefully sliding into position. Makes precision bullet dodging impossible. Also, the upgrades are very abstract in what their actual value is. No way to browse through the tips it occasionally flashes at you. No way to turn off auto-shoot makes the ramming achievement annoying to get.

Yeah! Now my finger will NOT be numb and completely !"#$%&' after trying to play this game! Thank you SO MUCH for the auto move\fire!!! Great game! Keep `em coming!

It seems like a good game from what I've played so far. The only problem I'm having is the ship movement. You have to move the mouse outside the ship in order to move it, but this makes it harder/impossible to make small movements, and in a game like this that relies so heavily on avoiding enemy bullets that's not a good thing at all.

*Fix for my last comment: If you pause the game, you're doomed, On some levels at least. I suggest that you replace the pause button to the Esc, or Space button or probably to the LEFT Mouse Button click.

Great update...thx.... You just got my 5/5. And kudos on the artwork and sound feel.
but... my poor index finger for some reason now feels like it's missing out.

I suppose I'd describe this as 'above average', but the thing is, I'd never bother to play a shooter that's average. Bottom line is, it's a bit dull.

Very nice game. Loved the graphics and level balance, and the survivor mode at the end is actually fun. And unlike others, I didn't mind the controls too much. The only gripe I have it that the game is too big, and even for a 900 pixels vertical resolution I didn't get the full frame into my monitor.

if you shoot a boss's hp to low enough, u can crash into him and win. and you didn't "accidentally" run into a boss, it's part of their attack pattern

Facing Dizzy and Daisy again is kind of awkward. Daisy's in love with you for freeing her but...You're already in a relationship with Daisy. It's complicated.

other than the movement control 4/5 just make it follow the mouse and click to shoot or key board controls it would be 5/5

Really legitimately enjoy the game, but I wish everyone would include keyboard controls for games like these as well as mouse, these are always a PITA on a laptop.

Nothing terribly new here, but I'm on a not-so-great laptop, with another window open to YouTube, and even with both that and this running, this game ran smooth as hell. Even when there was a lot going on. For that alone I give it 4/5

being able to choose a specific lvl as opposed to replaying the whole story lvl would be nice... and same as everyone else... not having to hold mouse button... i mean if i want to stay still i'll stop moving the mouse

I'm really in love with this game, I really can't fault it. Superior in terms of it sound design, graphics and game play. The sound alone gives such a feeling of atmosphere and energy, the colour, design and variety of enemies and weapons make it interesting and engaging, the levels themselves are well thought out and balanced. The levelling system really lets you take control and play your own way, the note drop rate compliments the upgrade cost beautifully. Congratulations, I only wish that more flashgames were this well conceived and executed. 5/5, favourited and donated.

great game, but still needs a little work.
as others mentioned, just add in auto firing and auto mouse follow. my click finger will thank you.
also, the game is just way too short! at the point that i get Daisy, the last weapon, there's nothing to really use her for. Survival mode is only fun for a few rounds before it gets boring.
There's also no reason for me to keep playing and upgrading weapons either.
So just add some more levels to the story mode, with some new enemies and I think this game will be excellent!

Good game, nice graphics. Took far too long to get enough notes for a full upgrade, and clicking for extended periods was a bit annoying. All in all though, congratulations.

Great game very fun and cool graphics. The only comment I have is that some of the level placement seems a little tricky to me. Like in the electric twins levels; the level where you have to beat Red Ivan as well as all the other little guys makes for a difficult play. It took me a few tries to finally beat it. I was then surprised that the next level was a no brainer. Maybe switch a few levels around? Thanks.

It's cute, but there's a lot of clunkiness to the interface. In addition to the "why do I have to hold down the mouse button" part that other commenters have noted, the upgrade buying involves "click on the upgrade, click 'buy', click 'close'", which is three times as many clicks as it needs to be. Additionally, I'd be happier to get an achievement if it didn't block my view of my ship just as I was trying to dodge heavy fire and take out an enemy before it went off the screen.

super annoying that I have to hold the mouse down, would be a 4/5 maybe 5/5 because it is really good, but it's just so annoying
