It kinda sucks that so much of the game seems to be flat out luck. Normally I like these games but there seem to be times at higher levels where the game is flatout unwinnable because I need a really specific tile to that never shows up and I don't have the tools to make it.

To get the achievement, go for the time trial. You get a lot of bonus points for time, and so you can easily get 1000 points.

Okay... midway through the game, I encountered a puzzle that had a Terra slice and a Red slice next to each other. Throughout that entire level, wasting ALL my deals AND all my special-deal cards (and I had like a half-dozen of those cards), I was never, not even once, dealt a slice that could bridge the two. That level was literally, 100% unbeatable, I had literally zero chance whatsoever... and because there's no save points, I had to start over. Screw you very much, game.

For a couple extra bonus tiles on your first play through go through the tutorial until it gives you the bonuses and then click on skip. You start with +8 tiles a tile bomb and a switch.

Maybe this helps to get through - for me it worked out to finish the game a couple of times: 1. in the first section try to make "color quadruples harmony" (4 of each color), which is quite easy - you gain: Joker, 9 tiles and very often a "double triplet" accompanies: Blue Bomb, 3 tiles. Try to get the "color quadruple" in the first round and use the joker to get more "color quadruples" in the first section. That´s the way to accumulate tiles. 2. the second section is a bit harder but try to make "moon pools" (8 are enough) - you gain: Switch (+ tiles for every extra moon).
CONCLUSION: Joker, Blue Bomb, Switch and accumulating tiles within the first two sections is enough to win.

Over a million plays... but fewer than ten thousand people have ever beaten the game? Hmm, could that be because the lack of save functionality renders players' chances of being able to beat the game dependent on luck rather than skill? I really hope this playability-killing flaw has been corrected in the sequel. It's such a shame when everything else about the game is so great.

Just got the Hard badge today... Honestly, I didn't ever think I'd be able to get it. This should be changed to an "impossible" badge.

Sand Sorcerer Badge (Easy - 5 points) Acquired Aug. 14, 2009. Rings Not Passed Badge (Hard - 30 points) Acquired May 17, 2013.
I could quit ALMOST quit Kongregate, all I ever do when i'm on is try to get this badge. I have so much new freedom! :D

No MRASK, this is like running a marathon, tripping at the finish line, and having to start the entire race over instead of just getting back up and finishing.

30 levels with no save, no "restart level" option or "undo last move" button? 1 star. A fun game but impossible to beat.

Go for combos and you can get the easy badge without too much trouble. Not worth trying to beat the whole game, though.

Save function, swappable tiles, more bonus tools. Just one of these would've made the difference between an awesome game and a waste of time.

So I just did some math... There has been to date 1,218,120 game plays for this game and 9,255 of those plays resulted in the winning of the hard badge... That's 0.79%. Literally less than 1% got this badge!

"The tile doesn't fit here." Did you think that maybe I don't want to put it there, I just want to shift things around a little bit?

its based entirely on luck and having to start over after every loss is just asinine. This should be an impossible badge.

btw, after many many tries, here's how i finally did it : Tried to get as many bonuses as possible on the first 9-10 levels (4 of each color is a nice tactic, gives u a few free draws and a Joker tile which is amazing) , then try NOT to use them until lvl 20 or hold off as long as u can.
It will still take a few tries for sure, but with a little luck u will go into lvl 30 with 2-3 jokers, quite some draws, and if u have a bomb or two as well , even better.
Oh,and try to save the transform tiles unless it's impossible to advance without em.
Hope this helps,cheers.

This game requires 30 consecutive victories to beat (any defeat sends you back to level 1). Any game that has this requirement should NEVER allow you to fail simply due to bad luck in drawing your tiles. Poor game design.

Personally I like the puzzle challenge it presents, but I dislike the start from scratch every time. *However*, it's one of the oldest games on Kong, and you have to admit that it's just a little on the challenging side ;) Probably should be 90 points on this Hard badge, though.

Something not mentioned, I believe, is that pieces can freely be moved around on any of your turns as long as limiters don't prohibit it. Pieces placed are not there permanently.

The things that bother me are that you have no save, if you click a different bonus than the one you intended you lose it since you can't cancel it and the lose when ring is not strong enough? huh? I'd rather play hardcore diablo with high ping...

Hard badge is not possible, its all luck based to get what you need to achieve 30 wins in a row with no way to save progress going back to the start for reasons that one is not at fault of causing. At least make it so a game at a current level can be restarted or attempted without losing progress... as this game currently stands it's a 1 star
