Huge city had two big farms next to each other and at least 5 malls/allmarts next to spawn. Big farms were at edge of map though :(

After starting the game, first time i get to day nine and send some people scavenging, luckily i found a rocket launcher to keep my walls safe

Instead of bringing your 5 survivors over to another save, I would suggest going on the seriously hard or impossible difficulties from scratch, really easy to win if you go only in one direction (North, East South or West) then when you reach the end, head to a corner, then go corner to corner slowly conquering. I only stray from this method when something I need is one block outside my reach, like a police station to add more defense or a farm when I am low on food. This method works fine and actually makes you feel you earned your achievement.

my best advice is... before you go to another city..... get everybody you are going to take up to level 10 on everything and equip them all with very good items e.g. missile launcher.
