*Looks at the big graveyard and remembers from the first game* Okay it's there... Since the scouting missions are dangerless now let's see what is there... I bet nothing...
*1 day later*
Soldier1: Sir! The Last Judgement Gang has been spotted! Do we follow?
Leader: Yes.
Soldier 2: Also... We've found about a hundred zed in that graveyard, along with a lot of destroyed graves... and a survivor.
Me and Leader: ... HOW THE HELL!

This is one of my favorite games! It's ridiculously addicting and fun. :) A quick minor suggestion though-- there seems to be a character design that's automated, but it would be fun to be able to customize your main survivor, not just his/her name.

101Rev - if you're having trouble getting the hard badge, start with a game on the easiest settings, once you hit the finish, keep playing, take your 5 most skilled guys, train them at the school in everything until they have 10 in every skill. Load them up with the 5 best pieces of equipment you have, and go to another town. this starts another game which you can set on harder settings and start with 5 superheros who can do everything and you have 5 great pieces of equipment. That's a huge plus when playing on hard.
Also, of course, chase off any mad scientists you see, tell anybody who thinks zombieism is the next step to go enlighten himself and throw him over the wall, and go back to the saved game any day when you lose people. Good Luck!

I really like this game, but I feel like it really needs military success to boost morale just a little bit. As it stands, I carve out a sizable chunk of the city, my research is moving along, and my agriculture is stable. Then there are a few deaths from the larger zombie attacks, and I get stuck in a downward spiral of poor morale causing poor performance causing poor morale. Even two or three morale points for every new block secured would do a lot to mitigate that, I think. Now, if this is considered a feature for a "zombies will mess you up, and you can't win" sort of game, I can respect that.

Sometimes I prefer rebuild one because it is less complicated, but sometimes I prefer this one because there is so muc more to keep track of. I also think it's hilarious that you can turn off the bad language - somebody has a sense of humor!

I would love a full screen button. Also, as others have commented, the schools aren't as useful as they were in the original. A way to turn them into something else would be great. Still 5/5

WAYS TO WIN: You can win by attacking Last Judgment, by repairing the helicopter and escaping, by reclaiming City Hall and drafting a Constitution, and by curing zombieism... Here's how: Last Judgment: Reclaim the Subway, and after a while you will be told you can attack. Go to the subway, and click "attack last judgment". It will take several days and requires (iirc) at least 5 soldiers. Repairing the Helicopter: You can win by reclaiming the helicopter and then repairing it. Repairing it takes several parts and 5 builders. Drafting Constitution: Reclaim City Hall, and take 5 leaders to draft a Constitution to win. Curing zombieism: Let that weird scientist come in when you first get a lab. He will take over a Lab and require you to do several things, but later you'll see he was trying to cure zombieism. You can take 5 scientists to finish his job. NOTE: While you try to complete ANY OF THESE, zombie hordes will come ONE AFTER ANOTHER until you finish it. + if this helped you at all

I found that a good way to survive in hard/imposible is to scavenge every day in all zombie free tiles (only 1 person per tile). You get +2 food and sometimes +5 happiness AND zombies wont spawn in that tile. meaning that you can teorically use 8 survivors to produce 16 food per turn AND protect a 2x2 fort (8 tiles) all while getting a nice happiness bonus. Also, in the worse case scenario you wont be able to harvest more from that tile but get a nice new item, that can be used or traded for more food. Cheers~

This game is great. It's better than the zombie MMO (which I've played) you advertise. Like, seriously.
+1 if you want Rebuild 3. :D

here are a couple of ideas for a 3rd rebuild: 1. bring in more interaction with the other factions...maybe even offer to have the player be another faction. show the territories and allow the player to also attack them for resources and people. 2. expand resources to allow player to get cars, trucks, and heavier weapons and create caravans for bonus and/or greater reward missions. 3. add an additional completion ending where u track down the source of the hordes and defeat them. 4. allow the creation of teams for repetitive missions

"Alright, I want you to build a fence around this area. But make sure to throw away anything that could be useful. Oh, and kick out any survivors you happen upon that could help us as we help them."

TIP: Gustav comes around with a guy that gambles.. If you manage to keep winning and clean him out in one visit then you will WIN a secret rare item. This item is the best in the game! I wont spoil it for you :)

One suggestion: scientists can research zombie movements and can detect up to 3 days away when EACH zombie strike happens, you know, to make impossible difficulty easier.

"Don't ask me how but we managed to get our hands on a barrel of wine while scavenging the school"
What were they doing at that school

How to beat Insane or Seriously Hard mode: You'll have to clear the game once on any difficulty (preferably Easy). Capture the Heliport or any other end that allows you to move 5 survivors into a new city. Choose 5 people and train them at schools so that they all have their skills maxed out (all of their skills). Move those 5 new people into a city on Seriously Hard or Insane mode. Now you depend on your strategy, but you'll have a very good team to start with, so you'll be able to quickly build a bigger fort and get more people. + This so people can see!

Suggestions for Rebuild 3.
-Riffs should be able to merge with your group.
-I would love the edges of the map to have variety. Mountains, Oceans with docks, Rail Road, etc.
-Last Judgement should be able to merge with your group
-Zombies as pets.
-An undead option soon, since there's a smart undead leading attacks, right?
-Graveyards should have a use, a place to bury your dead people, and you can write on their tombstones their names and their last will/last message like "Here lies Northway" "She can use a gun really well". Then their date of birth and death would be included.
-More research materials.
-People can still hear your radio even if the whole map's take over.
-Zombies would still attack even if the whole map's taken over.
-There can be a war when you draft a constitution. Either civil or etc.
-More Random Events.
-Other food supply except vegetables(We humans were not put on top of the food chain to be vegetarians!). Fish perhaps? And dogs, that's probable.

Very good game. I like the strategy and the story.
the management of equipment is not easy, I needed time to find how unequip, and I wish we can directly switch equipment between characters.
Also, once the characters are lvl 10, the equipment is useless and I have to scroll down to find the others one, maybe a button to choose how we want the characters to be sort would be great !
I also like the multiple ends and the fact we can still continue after an ending.

I had about 20 or so buildings, a hospital, enough farms to ensure a food surplus, and a school. I had researched everything. suddenly 700 zombies attack and kill my two best fighters, next day a giant horde appears about 3 days off. so I'm thinking 'okay, I've weathered worse with less survivors' and then the horde arrives and takes two of my farms and kills another couple of survivors, then attacks for three days straight kill another couple. by then I had gotten two soldiers via radio transmission. ended up watching my city die. and I'm sitting back already thinking about the next three turns before I give up. Great game, would love to see a number 3.

Oh, so you wrote a book about how zombies are our friends?
Here, why don't you go kill some.
In the most dangerous square on the map.
By yourself.
Oh, and you won't be needing that shotgun.

For people wondering about Rebuild 3, it will come out in 2014 as a stand-alone game, maybe in Steam Greenlight! Check the wiki, i don't remember the link sorry :P

I played for 5 hours straight and I was doing so well until somebody blew up the helicopter and then everyone started interrogating people and ended up killing everyone in the fort... Great game.
