For those who don’t want the Church of the Chosen Ones ending (embracing zombieism), do not allow them to write the book about the zombies in the first place (I never allow that). I have heard some say that you can let them write the book as long as you don’t let them set up their church. I have no experience with this, so I don’t know, but it is a possibility. I’d rather not chance it. Now you know how to avoid this situation in the future. So sorry if you’re already doomed….

So I captured 25 blocks, wrote a constitution, cured zombieism, defeated the last judgment, then started a new town that was bigger and did the exact same thing... Then out of boredom I researched every possible thing, assigned every farm a farmer & guard post a guard. After that I captured every block in the town (there was 64 by the way). I now have 36 survivors with room for two more, 100% happiness, no danger at all, 925 food rations, and I'm on day 360. I look at all of this, this complete rebuild of an entire simulated town, a start of new and perfect simulated civilization, and I can't help but to think to myself... I have absolutely no life and am now completely addicted with nothing left to do.

The side effects of the zombie cure are phenomenal! Grey hair turns to brunette, accurately cut and combed. Make-up, eye shadow, lipstick included. Our scientists did a great job!!!

I'm starting to regret creating the "Church of the Chosen". My entire city just celebrates and commits suicide every single day, and then celebrates those who commite suicide..... What kind of city is this? "Quick, join our city, now watch all of us kill ooursevesssss, what fun!"
Starting to also wish I didn't punish the dissenters. Who knew that having too happy a city would be my downfall. Screw the church >.>

A little add on to Rotflolmao's advice. You CAN allow the book for some extra happiness. Just don't allow the church. Also, if Gustav offers the cure to zombieizm or a helicopter part, the choice can lead to two different endings. The helicopter part repairs "da choppah" faster but the cure is a dud that gives Dr. Bryukhonenko an Idea which'll eventually lead to the lab being overrun but you get the cure to zombiesm. And yes the helicopter is eventually repaired. Anyways, just give the Dr whatever he wants to get the cure and find the resistant drug that doesn't full stop zombizm. Finally, if you raid the bikers base, have some extra room because afterwards some women come back with you. Like if this helps.

If you are having trouble winning at hard or impossible for the last achivement... simply play an easy game on a huge map first, and then get an ending that allows you to move to another city. Then, when you can, take your 5 best people with you to a tiny hard or impossible map, bam, easy last badge. And you should have also earned the other 3 by that point too.

adding to that last comment, never last those crazy bastards set up a book or church or anything, they make everyone go insane and kill themselves, i lost probably 60 people at least to one insane bastard in a church. It would've been nice to tell him to stop, but there is no *stop crazy guy from preaching your entire city to death* button. I literally had the entire city blockaded, not one square with zombies still on, I had won the game in two or three different ways, and yet still lost afterwards from that ass.

Juustox: In reference to your question, did you complete all the endings? They are: Judgment Gang; Laboratory; City Hall; and Helicopter. (I also choose to reclaim the whole city.) If you have, you can leave the town to start a new one. (My preferred way is to go by helicopter.) You and four of your people (hopefully you have some very experienced people) can leave to do so. If you have experienced people, it is easier to complete harder difficulties. These days, I find it easy enough to play the Impossible mode from the complete start, but I don't recommend attempting that until one learns the game well. But with experienced people, you should be able to beat Impossible mode when you know the game well enough as it is far easier to complete than the original Rebuild's Nightmare mode. Good luck!

What the hell is with all the firearms in grocery stores?!?! This is like I'm living back down south! Also I found a GREAT way to beat impossible. If you wall off sections of the level, no new zombies can get there. Only take over farms/living places/malls/all-marts in your goal to wall off places. Every time you have a random zombie attack, the numbers within will be reduced. It's risky for a little while because of how many places your fence is touching, but it will eventually reduce the total number of zombies overall especially if you take over the corners. My first 'win' was below 100 days with this strat, but I kept on playing to get them all. (the zombie cure one is too random, after antivenom is researched I spent 48 days doing nothing)

Ok, we have 35 survivors about 50 blocks 95 happiness and 100 food. (5 turns later) we have 13 survivors 8 blocks 0 happiness 0 food and everyone is rioting.

It was captain's birthday -382 food +5 happiness, but i guess its alright to take a load off sometimes and just have some fun...

If you keep on going in the game (my goal this time was to reclaim all the blocks of my city), happiness levels skyrocket and the Chosen Ones' worshipers start LEAVING THE CITY to join the other zombies. That's messed up. I love this game. 5/5 stars.

The following information Sionyx provided me (but I have never tested the results). I was told that even if you do allow them to to do such, that there ARE precautions to hopefully keep your fort from committing mass suicide (but it isn't a guarantee). They are: don't give food for the Day of the Dead; and don't add the Big Graveyard to the fort. Also mentioned is that there is an event where some of your survivors will come to the leader and ask to ban the Church because they're worshiping zombies. If you say yes you will lose the leader of the Church and two other random survivors but the fort will be saved from this ending. If you say no, some of your survivors will leave in disgust and you are well on your way to accomplishing that ending.
Elsewhere, I read that when you get a third church that the process is also irreversible. So try to either not get a third church or convert your churches into something else first (such as apartments).

Wish you could recruit the gambler (and let him keep his cat!) instead of him just leaving. I mean, what's he going to do out there with no food? Would he literally rather die than stay in our awesome fortress? Heck, I'd even let him set up a mini casino! Or tend bar or something. I also wish "unused" weapons could add to the defense if you have idle/guarding survivors--obviously if you have a stockpile you're going to use it. And the housing situation feels weird overall. Not just the "only two people can live in an apartment building/motel" bit, but the way people are willing to live in zombie-infested malls, churches, farms, etc., but once they're inside our fort, they're suddenly uninhabitable.
