I think the Lasting Legacy badge should be made into an impossible badge. Mainly because yes harder is very beatable with skill, but at any moment bad luck can make everything crash down...

This sounds awful but has anyone else just LET their city die after a riot/strike? Like "Wah! We dont have any bars or churches, we're unhappy, now we arent going to do any work to protect against the zombies/give ourselves food" ....Okay then. Die, i guess?

I shed a tear for my favorite soldier "Bennet" you will be greatly missed. in his/her journey he/she took at least 10 bars and hosted like 20 party's. Bennet why did you have to die this way?

A short tip for the Hard Badge: If you have people doing nothing, instead of guarding the fort, you can let them scout the area. That really helped a lot for me

We almost have a cure for zombeism! construction is almost complete on the defensive buildings! We are about to finish fencing off that farm so we can have access to all that food! But OMG WE ARE PISSED cause 2 of our dogs died and we havent been drunk in a few days RIIIIIOOOOOTTTTT!!!!

Heres a tip to get the hard badge. if you have people who dont have a psecialty, the people with a plain t-shirt, put them on the police station defense. In a couple of turns they become soldiers. + so everybody can see this

Sarah you have made an excellent start with your first game. I really look forward to your other games which I am sure would be second to none like rebuild. The game is superbly balanced till the hard level, the nightmare level is still out of my reach. (it looks to involve some chance cause and effect at this last level)
A few requests though; when selecting the soldiers to fight a particular block please add the option to quick select the number of soldiers, something like selecting the first one then pressing shift and the last one, instead of clicking on each one. (It becomes a hastle when you have to select too many soldiers) Showing their number would also help.
And last but not the least, please make sequel Rebuild2, if you could somehow add RPG elements into it, you would end up with one of the best games on the gaming zone.

Sigh. After countless attempts I've given up on the hard badge. It seems to be about 95% luck and 5% skill. If you're not within a few squares of a large farm, laboratory, and hospital, don't even try. You can get fairly far if you get a starting location with those, but... Your survivors WILL riot rather than try to survive. Not to mention the endless amounts of other random events that kill off people on a regular basis, and the seeming joy the game takes in making sure you lose the worst possible people and buildings at the worst possible times. This game shines its best at normal and hard, going any higher seems to take the challenge of expanding correctly and managing your base and replace it with blind luck. Still an excellent game, but I wish the higher difficulties were better balanced.

Playing the first time through on easy was a blast, but now that I've tried it twice on harder it was a lot less fun and much more frustrating. At the higher difficulties it seems to be less about doing things right, but just hoping you get lucky and bad things don't happen. I was going to have the food needed to throw a party probably 10 days in a row, and everyday something happened to reduce the amount of food I had. That's just entirely ridiculous - and the messages popping up saying, "Morale is low. Perhaps we should throw a party?" just served to annoy me.

I'm probably on over 1000 attempts to beat Harder with no luck. It's ridiculous. I wish there was a way when starting the game, you could choose "Like this map?", and if no, let it generate a new map. Really frustrating to start a game, set to harder, click next, find the map sucks, quit the game, start a new game, delete the old game, click ok and find that your map sucks AGAIN.....repeat, repeat, repeat. Not to mention every time I get a favorable setup, the game always seems to increase negative events against what I am best suited for....lots of scientists and labs, gee, wouldn't you know it, 4 madmen stormed your fort and killed all scientists....about to wipe out the zombie cemetary, gee, why are all my soldiers dying... :(

I think the hard badge of this game is harder than the impossible badge of pandemic 2, because in this game you have to worry about having the right buildings next to your first ones when you begin, and the amount of zombies grows very fast and you have a small quantity of soldiers to put in the fort and to kill the zombies around (I know you can put civillians on the fort, i do it every time, but it is still not enough for me), i think this badge should be a impossible one, + if you agree with me.

This is like the Civilization series, you need to keep the happiness up, have defenses for your cities,(or town in this case) and research technology to help win the game! Great game by the way and I hope you make a second one; or a sequel!

There are four endings in the game, each one requires different resources. 1) Cure Zombieism in the Laboratory requires 5 scientists, 3 Laboratories, and 10 days to complete the action. 2) Seal Evil Portal requires 15 soldiers and 10 days. 3) Draft Constitution at City Hall requires 5 leaders and 10 days. 4) Reclaim every square - oh, if you are during this one on Harder or Nightmare level, I recon you require madness, mad skills, and mad luck ;)
