Ok, so after a few days, spending every evening on trying to beat "harder", I name my town "FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUU" and leader "Captain Obvious", 'cause it's friggin impossible to win. Guess what happened next.

Just an idea for another in-game random bonus: a day or two after you get a, "We haven't seen Survivor X since he went out on that scouting mission last night, I don't think he's coming back." alert, you get a notification that he finally returned, perhaps with a reason as to why he was delayed, and maybe he even returns with extra food or a pet or another survivor!

I notice that the harder mode give you very low starting food and very low starting food storage... 50 food and 50 maximum food. hard give you 75 food and 100 storage and nightmare give you 25 food and 50 storage... so i think harder should be fixed to 75 maximum storage.... it is so difficult in harder take a lab to increase the storage so it is right to increse starting storage.

The Hard badge should be an Impossible badge. I've earned a lot of badges. I have 63 Kongpanions. Badges and Kongpanions don't count for much, in most areas of life, but I think they give a little weight to my opinion about badges on Kongregate. And that badge should be an Impossible badge.

@TheDarkoko: Yeah all you can do on harder levels is just take more risks and hope to get lucky almost every time. And I agree that this game is less forgiving than Rebuild 2...sequel is definitely an improvement over this still good game :)

How is it possible to win in Harder? At first I was being cautious but with that playstyle the zombie's growth completely outscales any progress you can possibly do. So I decided to simply do very risky things in the first days and if it didn't work out simply restart the game. I did get some really good starts this way but, still, sooner or later they get you!!! I had 2 police stations and 2 malls with a good quantity of soldiers and 2 consecutive hordes ruined my game. Very stressful. I beat Rebuild 2 in the hardest difficiulty but this one is too much.

WARNING: Zombies WILL increase their spawn rates on squares on which you are doing nothing over time. The rate changes depending on difficulty. If you want to keep zombies from spawning, send a mission there - ANY MISSION - as often as you can. [Yeah, I know that's impossible to do everywhere. But it might at least help in the endgame.]

The experiment lasted from Days 136-163, on normal difficulty. X[Y] = X Zoms on Day Y; X* indicates that one or two Zoms were killed in random events on those days only, so that X value of Zoms is not quite accurate.

I got the new game on Steam and this game brings me back. I thought they were done with the series then i see rthe one on steam so im like i have to play the first one to see how this series has evolved. I has evolved soooooo much since this was released

Soldier Shepard seems to have lost all of his 3 eyes from that rifle of his. You'd think he'd learn to stop using it after the 2nd, but apparently not.

also this is the most supriseing thing that happend to me: one of my peaple was hiding a ZOMBIE BITE from us so on day 121 he turned into one of the zombies and scared the living daylights out of everyone and they killed him

i was doing so well i was 3 days from having power but zombie took over my lab and 4 peaple wer alive and every body was so unhappy that my last scientest was stabed and killed by someone and i have no hope left i just have to keep hitting the next day butten and pray that my last place wont be taken

I completed the game by doing everything at the same time. I closed the rift, cured zombiesm, drafted a constitution, and claimed the last city block all on the same day XD.

i loved the series of rebuild and hear of the 3rd one a while back on steam and played it you need to get the 3rd one

A little over four years ago, my Dad came across this game and played it a bit. I later got it for my Kindle, but today, I played it for the very first time here on Easy for the Badge. I decided to see my game through after that...I lost on day 117, but that was way longer than I expected! Anyway, great job on this game!
