The easiest way to reset your progress is to just right click and hit "Rewind"
Also for those who are having trouble, or just never played some of the games listed here, http://ayumilove.net/were-you-a-nineties-gamer-walkthrough-guide/ really helped me out.
I've only ever played an N64 once, in a store, so that would make things difficult. Also, the filesize of the music is much bigger for CD-based consoles.

Don't know if someone's mentioned this yet, but I found a way to reset your progress if you want to start the quiz over again from scratch:
1) Right-click the Flash game and select 'Settings'.
2) Move the Local Storage slider all the way to the left.
3) Click OK button when it appears.
4) Move the slider back to where it was. (100 kb should be adequate)
5) Click close.
6) Refresh the page.
This will delete ALL your saved games on Kongregate, so be careful with it. Also, I recommend setting it to 'unlimited' because every game you play here uses that space for game saves.

helpful secret, right click on the screen (or for apples users control click) then hit rewind, it will bring you to the title screen, join the game and click on square thats already been answered by you, keep typing in the answer and get infinite points, when u have enough points refresh the page
I don't recommend doing this. It's a bug (obviously) and because of how it works you may crash the game or lose your save file by doing so. Also, you get hint points gradually anyway, it's better to leave the game open and go get a pizza or something :D

Hm, it was a japan-only game, but I had my hopes of seeing Live-A-Live here, oh well. All in All, great game, tests our knowledge.

SPOILER ALERT: there are three secret questions. Go to Sonic's game (#1) and type in up down left right to get secret question #1 to which the answer is sonic and knuckles. the second secret question is in chuck rock (#42) and you type in a b right a c a down a b right a and the answer is vectorman. i have already given answer to get third secret question. I use bad grammar on this comment on purpose to not make it so easy to see what I is saying. Good luck!

To the people complaining that you've solved everything and still not gotten 100%: try typing in the famous "Konami Code": up up down down left right left right b a. That reveals a secret question. Hope that helps. Still trying for 100% myself.
