Since the main story wasn't enough, i decided to "erase" the whole map. On the fifth layer down, i had finally ran out of carrying space. + for getting rid of all of Utopia's sturdy ground!

One more thing, why does Wolfram need to be the thing right after coal/iron quest-wise? Why not gold? It just creates a random gap where you have to rely on only digging for money which I don't really understand.

I finished the final mission before I even got to it. There seems to be something wrong with the cooling fluid balance.

Too bad that as soon as you're upgraded to level 4 items, all difficulty is almost gone, leaving you with only the burden of back-and-forth to sell your ores...
Well made and very nice, but a little too short :-(

Need a "clear data" feature so the game can be played multiple times (yes, I've played it three times and all save spots are filled). AND, ...make another one!

Upgrading the drill makes you WALK faster! Wish I'd known this before I wasted an hour just walking between the beach and the power station.

the "allowance" is bs, it costs 5 for each % you restore, i figured maybe it restores the first X% for free, so i dropped myself to 1% and checked, nope, still said it costs 495, so i figured maybe its just not shown, but it dosent deduct the full price and id only spend ~250 even though its listed as 495, but still no, it deducts the full 495, last ditch effort i figured maybe its a time based thing, or after a job you get that one time allowance till the next job is completed, so i waited for a while, then did the next job, drained myself to 1% again and tried, still nothing. is there maybe some way to use the allowance that im just too retarded to see?

Nice little game. Reminds me a lot of motherload, which is also nice but saving yourself from endless falls wasn't a very nice aspect in that game. Definitely think of adding more purchasable stuff, something must be done for all that cash taking up the space in my inventory :P
Also, i suggest changing the "OKAY" text in the temperature bar to "MILD" instead, sounds better :)

Am I the only one who's disappointed that something awful didn't happen at the end? Usually whenever they tell you "Save utopia! Doing secret research here!" You end up getting screwed and they build something for world domination... But a happy ending? Who does that??
Kidding. Loved the game. 5/5

After finding the core ore my ocd wants me to go back and mine out all the dirt sand and ores... this might take a while. >.>
Well, yes, this game was inspired by 'Motherload'. It is about mining ores and selling them to buy upgrades and drill deeper. Utopian Mining is part of this mining genre, so the games share the same basic concept. However, I did my very best to make it different to other mining games, by adding a different atmosphere, a story, some quests, cartoony-8bit-graphics and another feeling to it (and some other small stuff, too).

There's still a bug in the store. No matter if I have bought a chassis, it'll still take my money for that very same one until I buy the next one in the line. All the other upgrades say "you don't need to buy this", but even after having retrieved the coreore I can still use all my money on a diamond chassis.

Why coudn't there be an upgrade for your visibility? Like I'm trying to get a full inventory of Wolfram and its so easy to run into an ore that you're trying to avoid but since your going so fast with high upgrades, it's impossible.

I did what any sensible mining robot would do after max upgrades and getting the COre. I mined EVERY SQUARE BIT OF DIRT. Now I just stand by the tree. Never moving.

Actually, I quite liked this short but sweet mining adventure. It has some notable balance issues though. 4/5 Aground may have been inspired by this.

The only problem here is the price of the upgrades, the game becomes too easy in no time, but since it has a lot of potencial and I loved to play it 5/5 and I'll be waitting for a more difficult one

I love this game. Any news of a sequel? The only suggestion I have would be an upgrade/option to increase the walking speed/speed of the game. It gets super tedious walking to the other side of the map and back.

anyone else run into the issue with buying a chassis and it not being so that you can't buy it again. i've blown at least 5k on chassis' that i've bought already but had forgotten about buying since i had to leave. I don't know if this is a bug or what, but it's kinda annoying.

The early game design and quest progression needs some serious overhaul. Dig some ores, talk to the dude, then the other dude, buy the chasis (sic) upgrade he asks me to ... and suddenly I'm completely broke and spending literally every penny on partial battery refills to try and uncover more ores. The temperature gauge should be explained earlier, along with the fact that traveling cleared areas still saps your battery for some inane reason. A few repairs and one rescue team later and I'm stuck in a horrible loop of mining for energy to keep mining without any progress at all. I had to start from a new save (which, btw, there should probably some kind of status information on the robot select screen, and the option to delete). The game was otherwise okay, but the slow-moving robot and early imbalance issues made it much too frustrating to keep going for long. A few tweaks could fix that, I would think.
