This was a very nice relaxing game. Loved the music, and the overall feel of the game. Some things I would love to see though; a steeper incline on the expense of the upgrades, it seemed to easy to bypass the first 3-4 upgrades then save up for the last, most expensive one. Also, while a very nice game, it did seem a little short. I would love to see some after core content, maybe continue to aid building up the town? Also, one idea that might be cool would be if you had to gather materials specifically for special upgrades; such as gathering coal, sand to make glass, and iron and money to unlock a lamp upgrade which would allow you to reveal a wider range of dark squares as you dig underground, or iron, coal and money to make a wheeled bucket that can hold extra ore that you can wheel around. I'm not sure if this would be possible, or if people would like it, but my point is is that I enjoyed this game, and I wish there was more of it! =)

I loved it but there is almost no difficulty, I think upgrades should be more expensive or have more steps up to the ultimate gear

Some things i would change is- Being able to change the collor of your head, mute button, and.. thats it really. Aside for that decent game =]

Well made game but a few thoughts.. 1.)After top cooling upgrade the game is easy. 2.)Some of the story quests give so much money that you end up with every upgrade maxed before the game is finished. 3.)It would be cool if maybe you let me upgrade a town and get bonuses based on the buildings i unlock. Sorta like dark cloud. Just a thought to add a wider range of upgrades and keep it ascetically nice. All in all a great game, keep it up!

Hooray, I made the world a better place by helping Utopia and provide mankind with a boundless energy source, all that was required to do is to completely deplete the soil of all precious minerals and metals (Kongregate, make a badge for that, please), destabilize the entire region (or possibly the hemisphere) where the city lies and thus doom the inhabitants of Utopia (and anyone else in the region/hemisphere) to die when the ground finally collapses into a super-massive sinkhole.
Beep, beep. I have earned 514810£ for my Interplanetary Corporate Overlords, time to move on onto the next region.
But more seriously, I hope there is a sequel with more stuff to do, more stuff to buy, more plot and more detailed endings than "congratulations, you gave won The Game". Anyway, four stars... :)

Why cant the people take things a little at a time? For example, the guy who wants 12 coal, do I have to give it to you all at once? Can I not give you ten and then two?

Funny you do some simple mission that give you a lot of money but when you get the core they dont even give you a penny

I'm not sure if this is a bug, but you should pay attention about the upgrades you buy, or you can buy the same thing lot of times. Maybe should be a notice saying you've already bought it or something, to avoid to pay the same thing once and again.

This is a fun game. I hope you produce more. I wanted to note two bugs -
1. The allowance for recharging the battery doesn't seem to affect the price of recharging the battery.
2. The diamond chasis never gets a 'No need to buy' and can be purchased numerous times.
Both are minor bugs and don't really affect the overall playability of the game. I look forward to seeing more from you!

Wait, so my first "job" is to work and earn money, just so I can just give it to the lazy jerk standing in front of a run-down apartment all day? Yay socialist simulation.

wait, if this is utopian mining, where is all of utopia in this? and also what is the bots name? + to know these situations.

For BOTD simply get and sell 8 coal and give the proceeds to the dude in front of the hotel. If you want to play beyond that, stay near the surface until your battery and cooling are upgraded. Keep an eye on your battery and health—if you run out of either, they rob you of the ore you have on you as well as 250 bucks. This can be handy as you return with half of life or battery refilled, and they can't make your money go negative. This can be used to get some life or battery back for free when you die while both broke and not carrying any ore. Upgrading the battery refills the charge, so wait until your battery level is low before purchasing a battery upgrade. (The first battery upgrade actually costs LESS than simply paying to fully recharge the starting battery!) What ever you do, for the love of Zeus don't allow yourself to die with a bunch of ore on you or it'll get erased from the game, i.e. you can't recollect it. Lastly, touching ore once you’re full destroys the ore.

The controls feel like as I was playing it with a video game controller. We can try playing this game with a Xbox 360 controller but this will require the program "JoyToKey".

I'd like to see a surge of games like this instead of all these idle games. Here's hoping 2017 breaks the curse of "the year of the idle games" and we get some decent other ones in here.

Tracking for which upgrades have been purchased breaks if the player skips upgrades. I saved and bought smaragd fist. It charged me smaragd price, but only gave me the gold level upgrade, and from then on every time I bought an upgrade of that type the "no need to buy" tracking was off." Even after buying a diamond level upgrade multiple times it still tells me I need to buy diamond.

good game. I would like more upgrades and maybe the highest ore is titanium? and make it cost 50,000? because i finished the upgrades before i finished. but i like the game.
