for those who doesn't know what the helping hand is:
plant a wheat grain on the village, and wait until the villagers build a bridge over the lake

I just stayed in the village for 300-odd years, being worshipped as an idol, moving ever so slightly from time to time to freak the populace and for that miraculous effect. I was disappointed to see that this did not earn me any godly powers.

Man, when I first played this game I was like "I should try bringing an acorn and planting it to the right of the volcano...nah, I probably being dumb. I doubt you could plant it, and there's no way I'm walking all the way back to grab another acorn." Well, apparently I wasn't so dumb after all...

I don't know about anyone else but I think this game was amazing even in it's simplicity it was one of the best games I have ever played.

village child: I'm starving to death. Stone thing: I'll give you food in about 75 years and you won't be able to harvest it in about another 75 years Village child: we are all going dead by then. stone thing: I know

Like most everyone else I was initially frustrated at the pace of this game. I have to say though now that I've completed it that the pace is what makes it so great. This game is an absolutely valuable lesson in patience. The puzzles make you think without being too hard and the story is interesting. I get the feeling that without this golem humanity would have never made it. He was there to feed us in our infancy and he was there to stop the calamity so that we could survive until today. Brilliant! Frustrating but brilliant!

Here lies a traveler between worlds, whose name is unknown.
May his curious soul find a way home, like you have found his resting place.

I've played plenty of games for way longer than I should. But I can honestly say I've never played it for 210 years, until now.

Yay, I found an easter egg.
"Here lies a traveler between worlds,
whose name is unknown.
May his curious soul find a way home,
like you have found his resting place."
Have fun trying to find it, not too hard, but does require a little thought

This game genuinely made me feel for the main character. The farther I went, the more the impending sense of doom sunk in... And when I made the final decision, I was sad for him. But I knew it had to be done. Masterful story.

Very funny idea. But one thing that made me quit is that character moves way too slow. I dont have that much time to walk in this pixel game

"As he visited the village, he saw that people were hungry" wait 50 years.......they're still there. couldn't be that hungry.

I played it again just to lose on purpose. Was disappointed that there wasn't some type of movie showing the destruction of the earth.

How do we get a helping hand? I'm so lost. I planted grain in the village, but nobody came to help. Someone please help

Blocking lava would cause a more explosive eruption. Letting it leak out slowly (like some of the mild Hawaiian volcanoes) would avert disaster...

A really nice little game with an amazingly simple but non-obvious concept that has been really well implemented. The graphics and music work well to create an appropriate atmosphere and the controls are simplicity itself. The puzzles are logical and well thought out - even if they require a little observation and lateral thinking - and you are given all you need to get through them. Overall an excellent little game that I would have no qualms about recommending to those looking for something a little more off the beaten track :)

Interesting concept. Oh and i was lucky enough to survive with a couple of years left, just had to waste 50 odd years watching humans progress.

I love this game! Totally great idea to wait for things happening! And most of the puzzles are logic (except the boat moving through the seasons). Maybe this guy could walk a bit faster to avoid too much waiting ;)
