nice game concept but instead of holding down space would be nice for it to just toggle to the next season cause its too easy to over shoot your target

Little short, little simple. I see a lot of wasted potential here, really. Had the scope been larger and later puzzles more complex it would've easily been a fantastic game. As is, though.. it's a 10 minute play, say 'well that was neat', and forget.

Is it by design that I have to keep pressing the right/left key in order to move, rather than being able to hold it down?

I didn't have enough time to play through the whole game but i loved what i did play i loved the idea of trying to test your own patience i get the idea of being stone so you can't move very fast i think this game could be reflected by Doctor.Who from the weeping angel's okay so now that that's finished all i want to say is good work!

I'm going to be honest, when a game rewards me repeatedly for being patient and waiting, I get rather annoyed when I'm punished for waiting 400 years.

Excellent little game-poem. If M. Night had written this, it would have ended with the stoneman causing a volcano instead of preventing one, in order to wipe out the humans before they could pollute the Earth. I like your version better.

You have 400 years to stop this tragedy.
Me: Oh sweet, I got plenty of time to do this.
The Villagers are hungry.
Me: Well, eat this tree, come on, eat up... really? Oh well, maybe if I observe them by standing under it something will happen.
395 years later
Me: Hmm... nothing. Time to start my journey.
Winter of the last year. Too late Earth was destroyed, try again.
Me: Ah well, worth it.

I suppose the slow pace lends itself to proper storytelling, but after the first playthrough, I would enjoy an "SCP-173" mode for crazy puzzle addicts that want to find the least amount of years necessary to finish the game.

Only thing that is lacking is gameover screen. I guess 400 years are given to make sure nobody has to see it, but it's still part of game. And while good ending shows somehow how we stop calamity, in case of game over static final screen is first time fire is ever mentioned(so we didn't teach humans not to play with matches?) Still great game, but in future try to keep even little details like that on same level as rest of the game.

I got an idea for the sequel,if there is one though...Basically the second part could let us know about the unknown traveler at the end.How did he travel all the way there?Who is he/she?

easter egg in this game? cool
so how to find it: instead of going down to volcano plants 2 trees at the right side of volcano, once you reached the third platform, you will find a... ...well you will figure out what is it!

On the right of volcano you can plante chestnuts and climb to the headstone, which says "Here lies a traveler between worlds, whose name is unknown. May his curious soul find a way home, like you have found his resting place."

Great great game. I just don't understand why do you need 400 years for saving the world? 200 would be enough. I got to the volcano in 150 years, i had to press the sapce button for 4 minutes to see what happens if I let everyone die.

Here I was, expecting that first waiting period to erode some land, I waited over 200 years before I realized I just needed winter....

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ SPOILER ALERT!!! _ _ _ _ _ _ _ "News agencies located near a remote group of islands in the pacific ocean report huge tsunamis and a massive cloud of ash and smoke following the violent eruption of a volcano that has been assumed to be extinct for at least 400 years. Scientists now think that the reports of ceasing activity at that time were in fact signs of the conduit getting clogged by some material of unknown nature. This morning the pressure that has been building up over the course of the last centuries has apparently become too much and the material on top of the caldera literally exploded in what can only be described as an apocalyptic event. The resulting earthquakes could be felt around the globe. Scientists now fear that the consequences of this eruption could very well mean... The end of the world..."

we stopped the volcano from killing the lil villagers i assume. at first i was like "we stopped the plane from getting burned? who the fack was on that plane that was worth 400 years work...oh wait..."
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
i planted a chestnut on the left side of 2nd village (the village with boat) seemed like something should be on top of that mountain, but the tree didnt go that high, im intrigued.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
anyone else find the secret on the other side of the volcano(get a 2nd chestnut and plant it on the right) i think it may be a reference to someone the dev knew

400 years is one of those games you don't play for badges, time, points and stuff. You. Just. Play. And that's it. Gives "satisfying" a new meaning
