That had to be the most enjoyable point and click game I've ever played on Kong. The atmosphere was very tense and foreboding, and the jump scares were used sparingly enough that they never lost their spark throughout the game. I loved how the ambient music suddenly swelled during each of the scares in the game, and I was surprised that a game with 8-bit graphics could instill as much fear in me as this game did. Also, the action-oriented escape sections were a nice change of pace from the constant puzzling of most point and click games. If there was anything I didn't like about this game, it'd be that because of the 8-bit graphics, it was hard to make out items and such in the dark areas at times. The game is also very short, though a sequel seems obvious. Overall, I think this is a great point and click game with a chilling atmosphere, the right amount of horror, even more mystery, and unique gameplay, leaving me with a desire to find out - and experience - what happens next. - 4/5

Wow... Never played a game more chilling than this... I thought it would do something cool if I let the 2 white dots come closer... yep, I died.

WICKED GAME. The effects made it scary, the 8bit graphics and the music all fit into place and worked perfectly! Can't wait for the second, and anyone who dosen't agree with Joraiem is CRAZY!

was this game somehow inspired by H.P. Lovecrafts short stories? like the Silver Key one and the others related to the guy that has a lucid dream and takes certain herbs to return there?

Full length horror movies give me the giggles. This game, I screamed. Actually screamed. The grudge, human centipede, nine. Funny. This? scary.

*Spoiler Alert* So I got the gem and put it in the lighthouse and pretty much knew what I had to do. Since the light resets to the right each time you leave I did a few practice runs going up the stairs and moving the light over as fast as I could whilst mentally preparing myself for what I had to do next. Only thing was, I thought I had to go back to that door that I shut where the first figure was, open the door and lead him back to the lighthouse. When I finally left the lighthouse... all I knew was pure terror for the next 15 seconds. That was A LOT more frightening than I expected it to be, well done!

I love games like these, but there is sometimes a bit too much random click type guesswork needed. Picking up the arm of the skeleton, for example, was far too obscure to be thought of naturally. I clicked on the skeleton several times with no result, requiring me to specify the arm was a bad idea.

Hm. When I get lucid dreams, nice dreams and nightmares alike, I just try to slap myself silly until I wake up. (It never works!)

I just had a dream/nightmare before playing this. I actually had an idea for a horror game while still inside the dream, based on the some of the dream I was having. The only similarity with this one is the staircase, except the one in last nights was darker, and always pointed downwards even if you went up (you couldn't go back). I've been dreaming about staircases since I read about SCP-087 and played that game.
