This is really good because it uses atmosphere to make things scare and not cheap jumpscares.Keep up the good work. 5/5 :D

To get the batteries.first they are in the desk on the same floor as the skeleton.BUT you need to find the KEY first.so to get the key:(1)take a bone from the skeleton.(2)find the old cloth.(3)go down the stairs and into the room with the pipes.(4)soak the old cloth take them down the other set of stairs.(5)find the furnace.BUT if you notice to the right of it and click on the small box which will tell you it needs a lever.thats where the skeleton bone comes in.(6)place the wet old cloth on the red wheel on the furnace.turn it.get inside.(7)the key is on the ground.ALSO if you click on the wall inside the furnace you can remove some of the "ashes" from the wall and find "4" numbers.BTW get that number wrote down somewhere you WILL need it.and thats how you get the batteries for the flashlight.you're welcome. The atmosphere, the storytelling, the logic...Wow! great job, truly, in fact I would now love to make a game similar. Great job!

Overall a rather nice little game, extremely atmospheric and (as others have commented below) the two white dots for eyes is scary as hell because of it!! The SFX and grphics are both excellent and appropriate and everything works as a whole to give the game a very nice (scary) feel to it. Overall, really nice game, keep up the good work :)

Ok, I got over my fear of the dark years ago, but this game suddenly brought it back. I'm pretty pissed about it, too, because I can't walk around in the dark anymore and going to sleep is scary.

best timing's formula to play: Midnight + use headphone + turn off light+ high sound ++ ALONE= THE BEST ( you might not alone with "non-human" form )

Verily, this is one of truly marvelous gems in games history. So simple, yet so elegant. Ghosts, zombies, aliens - bloody posh! This is the real fear, and the real thrill too. No amounts of cheers and kudos can be granted to this unusual and bright wonder's creator to truly gratify such creativity and repay for brilliant shades of joy it gives.
And yes...
you have to wake up.

note: if you get stuck and have to read the walkthrough....make sure read a few lines ahead, especially where it says "quickly"! That is unless you want to die!

XPaladinX I did not use either the coal or the statue and a check of the walkthrough shows that they are not mentioned at all. So red herrings?

When you get to the furnace wall, try clicking & dragging on it. You don't have to single click. I only wish I knew that an hour ago... :-p

Are the lucky coal or the golden statue ever put to use? I dont understand the part with the horse "Little codie is lost without his plushie tiger"

Full length horror movies give me the giggles. This game, I screamed. Actually screamed. The grudge, human centipede, nine. Funny. This? scary.

Hmm was odd that's there are some things you can collect in this game that do nothing, like the coal and the golden statue, still very cool, very well done!

Pretty good game, but some of the objects you have to click on, light the human right arm bone, are pretty small to notice you can click on them. If there's something important about something, you should be able to click near an object and move closer so the object and its surroundings are larger. Other than that, no problems, so 4/5 Stars from me.
