FINALLY, AFTER NINE YEARS, I DID IT. I PERFECTED ALL THE SONGS IN SCGMD2. I remember getting a new PC for Christmas '07 with a fancy dual-core processor and hoping it would run this game without lag. There was still the occasional hiccup, and I could only do most of amateur and some pro songs. Two years later I built a computer with a quad-core, and again tested this game to see how it'd run. There wasn't any more (regular) lag, but I was just too bad to perfect more than 2 or 3 on pro. Over the years I'd come back and play a bit, but could never really get very good. I recently checked out Kongregate again and remembered how much fun this game used to be, so I fired it up and thought I'd just play a few old favorites, maybe try and perfect all of amateur. New computer again, so I was starting fresh. Eventually it led me to today, when I've now not only completed every song, but I've also gotten PERFECT on each one. It was a crazy ride, but I loved every minute of it! Thanks, Shinki.

I can imagine hearing him laughing hysterically to himself when he designed Run'n'Gun... That thing is designed to piss me off in every way possible.

The game does not calculate medals after how many percent notes hit, but points. You need the max possible points on a song to perfect it. So you have to hit all the notes (do not hit any buttons beside that, because you will LOSE points) and you need to hold the sustained notes ALL THE WAY to the end. You can actually continue to hold a sustained note for longer than meant to, so you are 100% sure you got it. Please help keep this comment alive!

This game teaches us valuable lessons like: "Do not trust your eyes", "Your fingers are faster than you think" and "Sometimes it's good to switch your brain off and just react"

*5 seconds till final pro song ends so you can get impossible achievement*
*all notes perfect so far*
*computer lags*
*misses 1 note*

That's the hardest easy badge I've ever come across. Being clumsy as I am, some of the hard badges are easier than this.. I'll go as far as to say it levels with one or two of the impossible badges. That's how I feel about it anyway.

I've never understood these kinds of games and now that I actually play guitar, I can say this. This is significantly harder than actually playing the song. The buttons and patterns have little to no relation to the beat... It's just a confusing mess really. And no, in real music, though the attacks after to be close no one holds you to a fraction of a second like this thing.

Is it just me or are the rhythms we're expected to respond to found only in the visuals and not in the song that's being played?

+1 If your screen looks like it's moving to the right because you're tired and your eyes have adjusted to the moving notes!

Honestly - the musician's internalised rhythm in me makes this impossible with the tiny bits of lag. Its like playing with the worlds shittiest conductor. So I turned off the speakers and it gets a lot easier.

Yep, this badge is ridiculously hard. I've played easy badges before and got them in 5 minutes. Now those are true to being an "easy" badge. I've spent 30 mins on this so far and I have 5/10 award points, this is going to be a long day unless I decide it isn't worth the hassle for 5 points :P

I'm wondering if it's just my connection, computer, or both, but I've noticed there's a problem with speed and quality. The animation is a tad choppy, and it's making it hard for me to make a decent score.

The problem with this Badge of the Day is that if your computer is even a little laggy you won't get it. I didn't even get 10 seconds into the first song because I was tired of missing notes that I shouldn't have been missing.

Is it just me or did anyone else get the medium badge before getting the easy badge? Seems they should be swapped for difficulty...

Too many years of FPS, dude. In my mind, A = left, S = down, D = right The fact that I can't reconfigure the notes is a big bummer.

The first time i played "SWITCH vs Evil-Dog Round 1" I thought, "Shy does this song sound familiar..." then i realised it was the title screen song. xD

That moment when you just got into the Rockin' state and you miss one key because you didn't punch your keyboard hard enough.

I come back to play this game after 7 years and apparently, I earned the impossible badge when I was 12. I just tried big blue and failed miserably lmao.

I got the Band Camper Badge on August 26th 2009... I just got the Super Crazy Guitar Maniac Badge on February 6th 2017... It's been nearly a decade. I was 11 when I got the first achievement and I'm now 18. In the meantime I've even learned to play real guitar.

After a short while it will LOOK like the whole still background is slowly sliding to the right by itself. This is an optical illusion created by your eyes wanting to anticipate seeing things coming from the right to the left. Your mind is trying to "move" your eyes' vision to the right because it looks like things are "moving" to the left, therefor, the center of your vision and the background around it will seem to move to the right along with it. Hope this helps anyone who is freaking out, like I did for a few seconds at first. XD
