This is one of those games at which it doesn't matters how many times I fail to get the impossible badge, I keep coming back. Even after 5 years...

There must be a way to turn off those circle graphics that appear when holding the letter notes, as they seem to be the only reason I am failing some of these songs (either because of distraction, or even worse, lag -.-)

Got almost everything right on the first track on amateur, then I mess up once and miss perfect. Why must this happen??? QQ

I don't care how good the effects look, if I want to focus on concentration then there should be an option to turn them off.

I think this is probably the hardest and the worst of the series, but only because of three issues that were all corrected in the sequel:
1. The 'hitbox' is smaller than in subsequent games, giving you almost zero margin for error.
2. The keys were harder to react to quickly when they were sharing lines between two keys, rather than each key having its own line.
3. It doesn't tell you when you've mispressed something (aside from deducting a few points, which you can't pay attention to during the song anyway), meaning I've finished a song several times, having hit all the keys and thinking I'd gotten a perfect, only to get a gold instead.

My life is over.... Only about 12 things to go on run'n'gun until I get perfect, the hardest song on this, and my laptop dies :(

Miss one note? Not fucking perfect. Also your learned association with WASD and directions? NOPE THAT WILL SCREW YOU.

My tip -> If there is a section you struggle with, and your tired replaying the whole song to get back to the one spot, play the song, hit Print Screen button when that section is passing by, then Ctrl V it into paint. You are free to analyse it and to practice it.

To be honest, my favorite song is in the "Amateur" section. It sucks when you have a favorite song in "Amateur" and it's too easy. Then you can't be crapped off by its' difficulty because it's your favorite song, and you actually would want to listen to it repeatedly.

I honestly feel like I could get in the middle of that Switch vs. Evildog session since I just got both perfects, the one on Amateur and the one on Pro.

I got perfect on all songs in amateur, but I only got 1 silver and 1 bronze on pro. I don't know why, but pro is rigged.
