1st thing: Long songs are a pain in the ass, I prefer insanely difficult 1:30 - 2 min songs than average difficulty 4 min ones, the anxiety in the end is unbearable the frustration is bigger and the acomplishment less enjoyable.
2nd thing: Maybe my crappy pc, but songs are synched a bit late, so if you follow the rythm properly you are being a bit early in all the notes, which makes me play without sound for a higher chance of perfect and lol it's sad...

If you don't have at least above average motor skills, save your time and don't even bother trying to get the easy badge. It isn't worth it.

Why are the SCGMD games so out of sync? It bothers me, because I do love them and I want to play them, but I find it impossible when the notes don't actually come at the right times.

Songs are too long, there's just a tad too many buttons to press, and - shoulda stuck with JUST the controls from SCGMD2. Other than that, it's a nice game. Irritates me cause I like this kind of game and I can't handle that many buttons at once....

Any game that doesn't have mute or volume controls and features a menu screen that starts screaming gets an automatic 1 star from me.

If you're really good at the order of the keys, up right left down/down left right up, the song "Mars bars and Mentos" is pretty easy.

AFTER SO MUCH PAIN WITH BOTH SWITCH VS. EVIL-DOG ROUND 2 AND BETRAYAL OF FATE, I FINALLY MANAGED TO GET THAT IMPOSSIBLE BADGE OMG

Ok, for one thing, numerous real guitarists who play this have said the tolerance for hitting notes isn't this tight. What makes it worse, if you're going by more of hitting by sound, it's difficult to tell exactly where in the song you're supposed to actually hit certain notes every now and then.

I'm seeing a lot of people complaining about things that aren't even problems. If you want to leave a song in the middle of it, hit retry then back to menu. If you want to mute the guy shouting your combos, you can do that before you hit enter to begin a song (and it will stay that way until you unmute him before a song). This would all be readily obvious if you read the buttons, though I do admit they could be set up better.
The people saying that the songs are too long may have a point however, though some could argue that's more of a matter of opinion as well.
I won't try to address the problem of lag or difficulty, though I will point out that even though I already had the easy badge I achieved the conditions for it by getting a perfect on the first song within three tries.

I remember this game actually being good and fun, but time has not been kind to it. Mostly because future Flash updates completely messed with the timing, so getting excellent scores is really hard. Somebody needs to move the SCGMD series to HTML5 or something.
