OK everyone listen! If you want to vs the dark guitar maniac, play the song which the purple skull and cross bones come up. Once you have finished the song, it will be on a different song. Keep playing songs which have them until they go on "I just wanna burn". Then, once you go into it, there he is.

At some point there is a stalemate where advancement in the game slows down to a grinding halt, but the gameplay deserves you keep playing. I'm a bit too casual of a player to go for perfects but I love challenging myself to get bronze medals on rather hard songs.

Tip for beating the brothers: Play through the song several times through alone, and then, try it. But don't try to win. Instead, teach yourself on having a different mindset about the top. This part is hard to explain, however for me, I imagined that for "Old School," that I'm looking down on the guitar neck for a moment. And with "New School," I imagine that showing the keys was cheating and I had turned it off for the moment. I hope this helps.
Also, it would help if there was a practice mode where you can play a certain part of the song by itself. It definetly would have helped a lot with the ending of "Tired Old Man."

What i really like about this game is how easy it is to just complete the game, and how IMPOSSIBLE it is to fully dominate it. Both a challenge for newbs and pros!

At first I didn't like the songs, but now after playing them enough they start to seem like some of my favorite songs. Problem is I hum them and people get annoyed...

Amazing! VAST improvement on 3, much better difficulty curve. Love the "chievos" and animations. The boss modes are an interesting feature. Overall I cannot find any faults for now. Fantastic 5 stars.

C'mon, ive waited for this for so long and no badges? That's like animal cruelty, lol. It's still a really fun game though! Oh and I love the animations at the bottom of the screen ^_^

To get God of Time: 1) after starting the game, go to Pro music selection screen; 2) wait 15 minutes; 3) play any song and he will challenge you; 4) if you fail, repeat from step 2.

Played 1 through 3 many years ago and loved it. Just happened to stumble upon 4 and it really brought me back to the good old days. Awesome.

I think that in SCGMD5 there should be a total hit notes counter or maybe just a stats page but great game, have been playing this for years now (with breaks :P) keep it up! 5/5

Awesome game! I miss one important thing though: when I go for a perfect and mess up, in SCGMD3 all I had to do to restart is hit Tab and Enter. I can't do it here which really makes things slow after a while. I'd really appreciate some keyboard shortcuts for these commands. Otherwise the game is perfect, probably it's my all time favorite game here on Kong. Keep up the good work!

having the arrow keys for one set of commands and a different layout for the held notes really causes issues for me. I would have preferred having wasd for the other inputs instead.

It would be awesome if there was a level editor, where you can upload your own mp3 and make the notes yourself and upload it to kong.

Is it just me or is the music at some points totally out of sync? I just oriented at the arrows and mashed the buttons right, but the button presses appeared to be in no relation to the music at times. Maybe that's intended? Or maybe some weird Flash issue?

This game can be a gift from heaven, or a curse from the devil, depending on how good I am...I mean, if my keyboard is working properly, yeah, that's it, my keyboard, it's my keyboards fault.
