The "kill all deserters" achievements are difficult. A unit might show up, get hit by a stray bullet, and then desert without ever appearing on the screen.

I didn't see that I got the gold achievement in unlimited mode at level 40.. I kept going to 75. My eyes are blurry ^.^

i got all 84 stars, got to level 30 and opened many crates and still didn't get even one achievement (from kongregate). how can i find the missing achievement mail thingy? it disappeared on me. i tried refreshing and doing more levels and didn't get the achievements.

I clicked on start game. Then I saw the three save slots were flashing rapidly with existing saves. Saying: Granny Lv. 15. 84/84 stars. 60/60 upgrades. 42/42 Upgrades. 999999999Gold. I can't click on them. This is a glitch, right?

All achievements, all badges, a couple hours. Not a bad game, but not a spectacular game either. A pet peeve being that the game doesn't get harder, it just swarms you more. Getting the badge on Survival 8 for "Kill All Deserters" is near impossible but it can be done, just don't build anything. Thank God you don't have to get all 3 in one try. 3.5/5

momochan: The most important thing is not to build any scarecrows. If you do, snowmen will shoot them and run away. Other than that, good minimap watching.

@shadow_night73: there is (or better, there are, because sounds and music have seperate buttons) but they are on the main page, over the "start game" button - so just leave the game, click the buttons and load it again

Getting all the stars is a lot easier once you realize that "keep" and "save" actually mean "at the end of the level".

I'm having an unnecessary amount of trouble getting the 84th star by killing all deserters on Survival 8. I watched the guide video, and it's no help. Anybody have tips?

@sixtopia: If you complete two achievements, you can get the 2 remaining skill points. One of them is the Scout and the other is the Veteran (Visit sponsor's site and get 84 stars, respectively).

I wish there were fewer things that would flash nearly constantly, like Granny after a powerup. Or, at the least, that she wouldn't flash into the same color as the background. It makes it REALLY hard on the eyes after a while.

Isn't the 1000xp bonus per life a bit excessive? This gives you 30k exp per level, even if you keep replaying the first level. This allows you to quickly gain levels. Perhaps a replayed level should only give experience for the extra points you scored compared to the previous score of that level, instead of all the points now.

i love the game but it's really not easy with mousepad... wish there was a way to customise keys so i could use the wasd (but change this to zqsd) and arrowkeys, as on azerty uqing wasd is just so confusing :( :(

After playing for a while I have to add that one thing I miss is the lack of upgrade ability from half of the map. You reach max level really quick and after a while you reach max upgrade as well and then just sit and look stupid for the rest of the game.. Add more levels and upgrades. ++ pls.

Is there a reason to why I'm not gaining Granny level as I progress through the game? It's like the skill shop is useless.

Man, this granny sure has a lot of land. Even on casual, getting those stars in one level try is tough. Pretty funny game though. :P

erbedo: final two upgrade points come from achievements (one of them being acquire all 84 stars).
decadebce: giant purple flowers are radar (bottom-left corner of screen).

Got the hard badge and all of the in-game achievements. Quite pleased and quite fun ^_^
What do the giant purple flowers do and why can't I upgrade them?

Could use some more instruction on what some things do but it's not too difficult to figure out. The Carrot weapon is awesome, the ability to bounce the beams off objects was a nice touch.
