Try your luck with this Texas Hold’Em based video poker casino game. Use good poker logic to progress through the hands. Decide whether to cash out or hold’em, fold’em or draw. The current paytable is beatable with a solid knowledge of poker logic/math. I tried to design the game to capture as much of the strategy used in real ring games as possible. For example, the cost to continue raises as the hand progresses and it’s usually not profitable to see the flop with off-suit trash hands.
Click the deal button to get your hole cards; this costs 1 credit. You can then decide whether to fold or pay 2 more credits to see the flop. After the flop, the turn and river cards cost 3 credits each. When you get a hand that pays, the cashout button will replace the fold button. You can decide to take your current prize, or draw to the next street to see if you can improve your hand and get more credits. Click the paytable area to show the paytables for each street.

- aha! you can click on the paytables to see what your current hand pays out if you want to see the next card.
if you can't improve your hand dramatically, the odds are usually that it's not worth taking the next card...just like in real poker.

- "Get no credits for hand that comes thru on river. I.e. I pick up 2 pair (or a straight, or flush, etc) on the river, I get no points/$."
Yes, you do. It's paid automatically (see the paid box and the increase of what's shown in credits). Two pair doesn't pay on the river; see the pay tables.

- arsejam, i see that you're not on the leaderboard for money played, which means that you've spent less than 200 credits. this means that you've played probably less than 50 games. casino games take millions of plays to true out and have high volatility, which is what allows some lucky people to be short term winners. also, this is a "free game" mode paytable, which pays out higher than it would in the casino...because losing is no fun. if you click through blindly to the river on every hand, the payout is about 75%, which will eventually get you broke (see the "Busto" stat).
