Holding space allows you to spawn multiple people at once. The people spawn where the mouse cursor is. You can also hit shift to buy 10 levels in something at once. If you're regularly buying at 10s, get something to end in a 9 before you start doing that as after you buy 10 of one thing, the price goes up. Just some tips. While I really enjoy this game, it's not clear on initial goals/mechanics.

To all those who downvoted my earlier comment saying you don't get anywhere unless you actively play, here I am again 12 hours later to check in. I "idle" gathered enough souls for about 3 minutes worth of active play.
Idle games are never actually able to be idled for any significant purpose.

Land: 4400. Buildings: 2934. Houses: 7. Ok, seriously, what's going on here? Does the RNG hate me that much or is this achievement supposed to be this hard to get? I got all the others hours ago. The worst part is that what you get with it is... better houses, which would've been useful to, y'know, get the achievement in the first place.

I don't understand what this game about and suddenly I get Easy badge, all less than one minute, must be a Very Easy badge

I have no idea what the hell is happening. Apparently directionless beings are building things when I hit space. I found where to level up their attributes and I found where to make different types, but as near as I can tell, theres no focus as to what is happening or why.
Strange. Very strange.

To get the easy badge, scroll right and left, and clicking letters for 60 seconds trying to figure it out yourself. Or read the instructions and press space to get it in 10 seconds.

The only problem with the Wizard is by the time you finally get that staff-wielder out there you have no chance of ever spotting it.

Great game considering it was made by 1 guy, 8 years ago in less than a month. Fun enough to let it run a few hours. I'll guess a lot of the complainers were about 6 years old when this was written.

Like pretty much all idle games, there's not any idling if you want to get anywhere. You have to active play to make any noticeable progress. Also, in terms of what you personally can do in this game, there's basically nothing. 2/5

we need a mass summon button for souls, or we can get stack there for almost a minute trying to reach cap on population if you are few hours depp in the game.
About the game nice concept, I wish there were more upgrades for buildings and why not maybe a more elaborate "thecnology three" 4/5 and wait for a 2.0

The sense of the game is gather resources to gather greater population to gather even more resources. Like many idle games. Same idea, same work.

I really wish that there were a 2 slide explanation at the beginning of this. As it stands, I know to hit space and make people, and I know the badge wants me to make people, so that's what I did for 15 minutes. Now I'm done and won't be playing anymore because I still don't know what the actual game is.

okay, funny game. barely makes sense. some upgrades barely seem to do anything (even with loads of sight, they're still dumber than friggin dirt). on the other hand, the music is INSANE. the theme from Crazy Bus would be an improvement. (though secretly, i harbor a like for it, it just goes to show how horrible and annoying this music is. bless you for the mute.) fortunately, seeing Kongregate referred to as a religion though, made the entire play worth the while.

Maybe I am just a bit slow, but I am finding it difficult to understand the game. Nevertheless, I can't stop playing :P

Very smart letting us sell life points, that way we don't end up in a situation where we over-invest in it, and now we have to wait hours upon hours for our people to die to get more souls.

so why are my souls so reluctant to build housing even though I'm pretty far in? I've got a cap of 500+, 418 land, but only 3 people spawned per day...

With enough resources, the population will always try to build on EXACTLY 2/3 of the land. The level of buildings built will be determined by the highest level of stash that has been built. Only after 2/3 of the land has been built on will buildings begin to be upgraded to the next levels. I could be wrong on some of my observations, but this is what I've seen from my experience. Interestingly, it is a very hands-off idle game.
