I used to think the stone tablet was a gravestone, and the point of the game was to keep people alive so the gravestones didn't take up all the space...

I agree with gamemaniac101. Also I might suggest that with higher numbers of people, that you reduce the number of people actually displayed on screen. I noticed that with a couple thousand people on screen my PC really starts to lag. It's not as much fun to be able to have 20K peopel and not actually benefit from them if it causes my PC to crash. I wound up having to shorten the life span because the people where spawning way faster than they where dying.

TIPS AND HINTS
People will automatically collect resources and build. Under the class tree, you can check to see what resources different people can pick up.
Double sight over land. This will allow any of your workers to see anywhere on your land.
Every time a person picks up a resource it will level up, and can change classes within the class branch that it has been selected as.
A person starts at level 1 and costs 1 soul. When that person dies, depending on the level of the person, it will return a number of souls equal to the level it was at when it died. For example, a level 5 person will release 5 souls, even though it only took 1 soul to create him.

for the little workers to get the same life expectancy as us (67.2 years), would need a life stat that is = to 1,41375028 × 109

definently needs more updates. needs civilization goals, like pyramid and eiffel tower, single houses turn to appartments, appartments to small cities, cities to great cities , tool upgrades, by upgrading speed maybe people get wheelbarrows, then carts, then cars and then helicopters/planes.also more buildings like smeltinghouse, bank, store and so on.... i hope the developer is still around here, looking at these comments. these updates take max 4 hours of your life, but the game would take countless hours from our life, so make it worth it or give your game to someone who actually upgrades it. cheers.

Okay, so I started playing until I got to at least 85 souls. Then it was like they advanced by themselves. I didnt do anything. They have a mind of their own.!

people say the life stat is unimportant as it only slows down the production of souls. In my opinion, all of the stats are important. The longer they live, the higher level they become, the more they are worth. Also, I believe the population cap does NOT need to rise so rapidly as there are not enough resources in the land for all 40 people when there are only 30 spaces XD.

For those looking to play this game like an actual game, Land is exceedingly expensive but offers the most bang for your buck once you have a reasonable amount of it. The reason being more land = more resources spawn and space for buildings to be built. Not that far into the "game" so far but each cycle of souls allows me to get about 300 more plots of land and gives me a huge increase in population and souls everytime I manage a full cycle~ It gets rather insane fast.
