Once you understand how it works, its a great idle game! Add a beginning tutorial to help those that would quickly leave through confusion, Dev!

at one point my villagers were living so long that i found myself thinking "JUST DIE ALREADY!!! WHY WON'T YOU DIE?! STOP CLINGING TO LIFE DAMN YOU!!" and that is when i realized....i would make a horrible god

Great game so far. Really good idle. I kind of feel like life isn't a bad stat as it helps to better make this game an idle game.
Any other comments have already been stated, but some things on my wishlist:
1) More music, love your choice so far, but a bit of variety couldn't hurt.
2) More stuff: like higher level resources(lev 10 req, lev 20 req), more building types and upgrades
3) Some pretty pretty stuff outside of that, like different climates (winter, desert) every 50 or 100 land... etc.
Love this though, keep up the good work!

Can't wait until the second one comes out. From his blog it sounds quite amazing. Although we haven't heard about it for a while.

there should be a recreate all button. holding down space takes a long time once you pretty far in the game, takes me about two minutes to recreate my full population by holding down the space bar.

There's nothing more satisfying than allowing all of your people to die, then holding space to re-spawn the maximum amount and having a ton of souls left over for upgrades.

2 idle games over several years isn't exactly a trend. I'd much rather see idle games badged than all those crappy pseudo-MMOs that have even less gameplay than most idle games (aka "play" 5 mins, exhaust energy, wait xx hours to refill)

Me: Hmm... seems quite calm here in the middle of the town.
*clicks left scroll button*
Me: HOLY CRAP! SO THAT'S WHERE ALL MY WORKERS ARE! 0_o

If people are wandering in the middle, give them more sight. If the game is going slow for you, upgrade speed. And yes, life up is not really a good thing right now, will change later.
The odd flowers and trees make resources spawn MUCH faster, and are automatically built when your guys build up enough resources. It'll make more sense when the other buildings are put in--they'll make a small town but won't venture out and become happy until you upgrade their sight. Sight does not suck for an upgrade, don't be fooled.
A help system (more like a tooltip system, it'll use up all that unsightly blank space and will get rid of the ugly instructions screen I threw together) will tell you all of this once I can put it in.
TO SUMMARIZE: Hold on, guys, this game isn't complete. I used eight days to get it to this point so I could submit it for the GiTD contest, it'll take a month to actually bring to a finished state probably. I didn't really expect people to like this.

Why won't you build houses?! You've got 50 life trees, 40 theaters, 30 universities... but only 6 houses?! I'm never going to unlock apartments. :P

I know it would be a lot more work, but I would like to see progression through different ages. Because of this, different resources would be more necessary at different times, like stone and dirt in the earlier ages for more buildings. It would also allow for more upgrades and a longer "play" time. It would also allow for more resource types being discovered as you played among many other options.
Also, the song is addictive too.

ah the progress of civilization, a nice little village... a town, a medieval city... and then skyscrapers fricking everywhere

There is nothing more sad than having a field full of happiness 5-6 people shortly after you fill it with as many souls as you can, and then spotting a solitary 1 happiness person. Breaks my heart.

How in the heck do you get them to build more housing? I've got over 300+ land and still only spawn like, 18 people a day.

This is truly a time waster. And for once it's one that I like! I honestly cannot wait for the new game to come out, but I guess I have to.

To get the easy badge, scroll right and left, and clicking letters for 60 seconds trying to figure it out yourself. Or read the instructions and press space to get it in 10 seconds.

I loved this game from the beginning, and I have to say that after the updates I love it even more. Please keep it up! I can't wait to see what's added next!

it wold be cool if you might have let the players chose whare the buildings went and how thay were upgraded (in a sequal perhaps? maby a story mode to pass the time?)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
"do you guys see that!!??" "OMG ITS DIRRRTTTT!!!" "GET IT BEFORE IT GETS AWAY!" *entire city goes after piece of dirt*
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This game would be really good if you could choose what buildings you are building and to have a rough idea of what resources you do have.
Top game even though im still trying to work out what is happening.

20 people, a piece of dirt appeared. well, the school forgot to tell them only one person can carry dirt at a time :/

@Jrrev ...It's an IDLE game... It should be slow at the beginning but is should get faster and faster every minute...

The only problem with the Wizard is by the time you finally get that staff-wielder out there you have no chance of ever spotting it.

It's so funny to see a massive swarm of people going for one resource, only for a person ahead of them to grab it and them to immediately turn around.

So, I've been playing for a while now and I've gotten up to a speed stat of 600, life stat of 2400 (meaning they live for an hour), sight stat of 1000, and land stat of 300. I support 585 people at once, and, needless to say, I've unlocked all the achievements. I'm wondering if there's an way to get them up to the life stat of 2,945,376 that GavriloPrincip was talking about. Oh, and my screen's filled with people.

Amazing game really, one of the best idles i have ever played. I like the stats but i just wish you could see the quantity of the resources types like how much wood or iron it would really help. You should also add the ability to be able to pick the buildings you want to build that you are able to build but still keep some randomization to keep its idle feature. Rate this so others can see.
