The sense of the game is gather resources to gather greater population to gather even more resources. Like many idle games. Same idea, same work.

I really wish that there were a 2 slide explanation at the beginning of this. As it stands, I know to hit space and make people, and I know the badge wants me to make people, so that's what I did for 15 minutes. Now I'm done and won't be playing anymore because I still don't know what the actual game is.

okay, funny game. barely makes sense. some upgrades barely seem to do anything (even with loads of sight, they're still dumber than friggin dirt). on the other hand, the music is INSANE. the theme from Crazy Bus would be an improvement. (though secretly, i harbor a like for it, it just goes to show how horrible and annoying this music is. bless you for the mute.) fortunately, seeing Kongregate referred to as a religion though, made the entire play worth the while.

Maybe I am just a bit slow, but I am finding it difficult to understand the game. Nevertheless, I can't stop playing :P

Very smart letting us sell life points, that way we don't end up in a situation where we over-invest in it, and now we have to wait hours upon hours for our people to die to get more souls.

so why are my souls so reluctant to build housing even though I'm pretty far in? I've got a cap of 500+, 418 land, but only 3 people spawned per day...

With enough resources, the population will always try to build on EXACTLY 2/3 of the land. The level of buildings built will be determined by the highest level of stash that has been built. Only after 2/3 of the land has been built on will buildings begin to be upgraded to the next levels. I could be wrong on some of my observations, but this is what I've seen from my experience. Interestingly, it is a very hands-off idle game.

After building at least one of each of the seven building types, the game typically prioritizes refinement (resources gained per pickup) and enrichment (frequency of pickups) first, then education (specialization frequency) and religion (souls gained per level) next, and finally housing (automatic human spawns) and supply (population limit) last. Stashes are added at regular intervals across the land.

I know a lot of people seem to be having some problems figuring what exactly is going on, so after about nine playthroughs getting up to about 1000 land each time, I think I can safely say what is going on (some of this will be somewhat obvious). The game simulates a new society, where the first generations live short lives and are completely engrossed in gathering resources needed for survival, while subsequent generations live longer lives and can concentrate on specialization and eventually entertainment.

I have no idea what's happening, but its strangely fun. I wish there was a tutorial of some sorts to tell you the gist of what everything does.

My, what hard working little mosquitoes we have here.
So, the strength stat goes up for yer lil dudes the more stuff they have carried?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I come back after 10 hours of overnight grinding, and I suddenly have 50 million souls. Whenever I try to buy any more stats without going extremely slow, it crashes the game. It felt *soul-crushing* when I realized I wouldn't be able to play it much any more.

Man , this is an accurate life simulator. I have scholars and mages , what do they do ? well do construction work and cheap labor.

Where can I check where the worker's happiness is? I already got the medium badge but couldn't figure out how to get easy one. Is this a glitch?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
well, i quite like the game, however, i would like to see a system where you are allowed to tell them to build and upgrade because that would allow you to focus on certain things such as housing or recreation. but anyway, there is my suggestion, please follow through with it!

The game hits a bit of a slowdown when you are at 7500/11500 but it's great. Shame that the new game in the desc is... I mean there is no info on it. Maybe cancelled, maybe not
