The hard badge is hard. You need $300,000 for the badge. With all trophies, that's $134,000 (+5,000 end fee). You can get $30,000 a day with max upgrades by collecting 31 large diamonds -- go horizontal at 2,000-2,500 feet, using boosts to fill the screen with more diamonds.

HARD TROPHY TIPS: Always be digging deeper every round to collect a better depth $ bonus. Don't worry about pickups for the first 5 days. The first day upgrade choice is ALWAYS Drill Strength. Always find out WHY your round stopped and buy the appropriate upgrade (Fuel or Depth) depending on which one popped. You HAVE to get all trophies if you want a chance at the Big Boat. Never buy the mole unless you can upgrade it to level 2. ALWAYS leave cash for the next round, never "spend it all".

For anyone who can't get the medium badge - at the end of the last week, if you've failed to collect 25 large diamonds you can refresh the page to play week 25 without having to start all over again.

My only complaint is that it's too luck based. There needs to be treasure to even collect, particularly early on when you can't go far.

The irony is that getting 25 big diamonds is the easiest trophy in its row, and the hard badge basically requires me to keep refreshing the page until I get all the others. It's frustrating, but at least there's a "Laugh" option on the menu!

I'll have to add my two bits to the "try Motherload" comments. Not that this is a bad game, necessarily, but I like the freedom of exploration of Motherload vs. the timed constraints of MegaDrill.

@lmaocetong - When the "." at the end of a badge description is a link, it is a link to the badge's namesake, which as far as I've seen is always a youtube video. i.e. the "i'm on a boat" badge links to the video for the song I'm On A Boat.

I upgraded the fuel tanks first, and was at 300 feet pretty quickly. It's basically another game where the game writers didn't know how to spell certain words, and didn't bother to look them up in a dictionary.

Protip: If you're having trouble getting 25 big diamonds and your weeks are running out, keep track of how many you manage to collect on a particular week, and if it isn't enough, refresh the page when you run out of fuel. You'll be able to pick up where you left off without having to start over. Infinite retries! :D

the key to getting the final ending is when you fully upgrade focus on the last few trophies and forget about the ones that give you little money. Just keep going to around 1800-2200 and collect the big and smalol diamonds. I at the end I earned close to 230,000 even before I was awarded any trophies.

Tip: go as deep as possible in the first levels, instead of chasing loot; upgrade fuel, hull and nitro to support this. By turn 12 you should be having a Mole level 3 if possible, and start getting the good loot. It's best to aim getting the "Connoisseur" trophy first, before all the others.
Alas, the whole game lies in the loot chance you get in turns 1-5, because it greatly affects the way you develop.

It'd be helpful if the collecting trophy descriptions included the phrase "in a single week", since that's how they appear to be behaving (11 emeralds one week, then 11 the next week, did not award the 15 emeralds trophy...)

For getting to 2600 ft save one nitro charge and use it right before 2500 ft mark (Nitro ignores pressure for the duration of its work)

i hate this medium badge soooo much. You realistically only get about 5 days to do it before having to start the grind all over. then there is the randomness that requires luck to even earn... The mole helps, but miss one shot and it's all over most of the time. >:(

i have no clue how, but im experiencing a gitch that denie me to end my day, makin me click trough the menu's, and eventually giving me 10x the amount of money per day. had 300k on the third day.
