Used to be good, now Too many glitches.....now unplayable. After 5-6 levels some enemies with limitless range show up and destroy everything

so many bugs, this was lucky to get a badge. technically, an elevated unit should never be out-ranged by those on ground level.

I realised the best basic stratagy is to not even build cannons...They are expensive and far less effective then a massive amount of greenjackets. Such a narrow firing arc and slow fire rate, the fact enemies get squashed like bugs just doesn't make up for it...

It would be nice if you could place soldiers on the blockhouse wall. Also like gota7poop said, playable soldiers and men to place in front of the walls. Also The playable guy could possibly send your screen to first person, WITH, HOWEVER, THE REQUIREMENT OF UNITY 3D WEBPLAYER. It should only be needed for this purpose, and not needed to play the game.

I love the game and look forward to seeing a second. I think a second game could open up a world of possibilities. making user levels, cavalry, more effective cannons, less effective greenjackets, more nations, more maps, speed toggle, barricade upgrades and unit strategy like go for closest/farthest/fastest. the idea of the game is great though.

Also, on first level I start with 4.5k but on EVERY OTHER LEVEL I have 2.5k. Why is this? I have all the achievements for extra starting gold too.

the difference in the cannons is not in range but rather in attack speed, with a 4 point difference in between the culverin and grand cannon

Pros: Great game concept, the freeform fotress building is much more exciting than a typical tower defense.
Cons: Uninspired units that differ very little from each other, which causes the game to become very repetitive once you have laid out the general defense plans. Planning is fun, playing the levels is quite dull (lack of new options, just simple upgrades and repairs).
Overall 3/5 - it could've been great if it had more diverse options, though.

Even with the calendar button re-pathing option, it is still possible (and somewhat common) for enemy troops to get stuck on a used Trou do Loup.

How to get Obsessive achievement. Although you cannot manually repair walls during the assault phase, you can repair your keep (blockhouse) as long as you have it selected when you hit "Begin the Assault". Particularly once you have free repairs from another achievement, then you can win an entire skirmish with your keep alone by continually repairing it as it is attacked.

Once you have Overprotective, it's actually quite difficult to get Obsessive, since any lightly damaged walls are already repaired and don't need your help. This leaves you with only heavily damaged walls to fix, which are much rarer.

Also, the cost of unlocking the French Garde does not in fact halve. despite the price changing in the side panel, 1800 is still deducted.

French pros and cons. Although French canon strength is listed as a pro, all canon do the same damage (i.e. instant kill). Since they also all have the same range, the only difference between the three different tiers is firing speed. Also, French con listed is that tier 3 soldiers have nothing special, yet they have pretty awesome damage compared to other troops. This is a big plus, not a con.

@SpaceCatStudios: A few more bugs to fix. The French tier 3 awards do not reduce the cost of the Garde. Though the cost changes in the right-hand panel from 95 to 85 to 72, 95 gold is still deducted in any case. Also, despite what the tool tip says, caltrops don't slow troops and all canon have the same range.

Amazing game. Someone's been watching Sharpe, looks like, lol. Speed should be toggle, badges are a necessity, as is a sequel. A sequel with badges and perhaps more diverse units. Again, GREAT game.

Prussian Infantry are too underpowered, Attackers in first 5 waves can attack from just out of your reach and kill all of your infantry

Save your money! Since when you buy a new wall all the bastions (including new ones!) are instantly upgraded to that level! Use Palisade Walls to make the 2X2 square then place a bastion there! The bastion will then be the highest current level of walls you have!

once you get the pickle cannon or whatever then you pretty much cant be beaten. build as many of those as possible, and also pay close attention to how to get certain achievements

best tactic ,to win all levels.
1:build a wood wall in the way of the attackers,best line is also a seal for the camp.
2:buy the redcoats(british),they have long range and high damage.
3:save 2000 gold to unlock the greenjackets,they have fast firerate ,super high damage,and the longest range of all the units.
4:upgrade all of the redcoats to greenjackets.
5:build more defense lines(3 lines is enough to beat any level) build barricades if you want.
6:press the speed button for faster speed.
7:WIN...
dont let it be lost ,it is the best tactic for winning ANY level.

@SultanYu, you must have a very bad computer, try taking it to the engineer (by the way, the engineers dont plant bombs)

Too bad there is no -5 star ratings, as this one would def get that one. I got devastated by 4 engineers even though I had so much firepower I could kill 50 of them without problems untill game bugged and I lost 3000 gold worth of walls/unit. Their units were moving and planting bombs while mine simply watched. Definitively needs heavy gameplay and coding improvements, like this I think this game deserves -5/+10 rating.

Well if there is enemies shooting outside your range click on the calendar next to the wave count, if you do this they will move forward a bit in range for your soldiers.

puckle is good for a CANNON. But overall it sucks, compared to an army of green jackets. I find that the useful cannons are the single shot, because they can take out a big part of the opposing teams troops.

the best cannon is the puckle cus it has really fast fire rate long range and isntant kill while the other are extermly slow
