Much respect to the dev(s) for responding to nearly every comment, especially after the game's been out for over 3 months. It's obvious a lot of care did and continues to go into this project. 5/5 here, a vote I've given to very few games on Kong.

Graverobbers? Cravenly scum! I shall dispense with them straightaway! By the way, while I'm in there the stuff in the pots and chests and bone piles is free game, right?

This game is awesome, the graphics are great and it ain't one of those games which try to extort you.
It also has a MMORPG feel to it.
Very nice overall 5/5.

Couple of quick suggestions about the game: camera: it is quite annoying that while going forward in the game you can see very far, instead going backward you are almost blind. If camera auto rotation following the character would be implemented, or manual rotation. But i guess that's a whole other job for graphcs... Other thing i noticed is boss loot: its not so rewarding usually, i'd make bosses drop more reward.
Otherwise game is amazing 5 stars *****
yeah, the angle/camera thing has been mentioned and we may revisit this in the future to see if we can go about improving it in any way :) And we have something else planned for boss drops in the future :D

I cannot level up my 2nd character because all of the quests are for my 1st character and my level 1 cannot complete level 4 quests. Therefore my level 1 cannot gain exp.
Yeah, it's a problem we're seeing. Try summoning an ally for a little help while we try and balance this.
Also we have the threat balancing runes where YOU get to control the difficulty of the stages :)

Very fun game. The only problem i have is that in consumes a LOT of resources which my old hunk'o junk pc has a hard time handling(the game eating all my RAM has my system choking a lot; seems 2GB RAM isn't enough anymore, even for browser games)
2gb of RAM? What is this, 2003? ...... :) Just messing with ya !! But yeah, Unity can be quite intensive especially on awesome games such as Akaneiro. We are polishing and improving as an ongoing process though.

Game 5/5!
only one detail: the baskets with karma could have amount varied - it would generate more surprises to open them, always 3 is very repetitive.

Best developer name I've seen in a while. Bravo. Oh! I should probably mention something about the game..... Uhhh.. Great job! 5/5.

For those with slow loading, it has nothing to do with your computer and everything to do with bandwith. The faster your internet, the faster it loads. Take into mind that websites also limit how fast something loads. Usually not the owners of the website, but their host. Since it is internet based, there will only be a slow-load once. If you do the same mission twice, the second time it will instantly be at 100%

just a suggestion but can you guys make bosses drop better loot please or else there are no point in killing them other than mission wise
I could tell you what we have in our super secret "Things that are coming in Akaneiro" file, in regards to bosses, but it might just BLOW YOUR MIND !!!

This game is showing great potential, but it still requires some work.
In the future, I would hope to see better tooltips: show me how much damage a skill is going to do, how long effects last etc. It helps making a desicion on what skills to level up.
Also, I think the difficulty of "overrun" levels need to be reworked. When I enter an overrun mission, I always do so knowing I will suffer massive losses to karma points (due to the bosses). I could pay karma points to lower the difficulty, but that just feels like cheating.

For those who say it takes so long to load, don't be watching the loading screen, scroll down or do something else. It will take a minute to load. It works for me ;)

It is good to have a Game, where you don't need to fear the right-click of the Mouse, which all should have, otherwise it isn't a proper Mouse. The Game itself is good, a nice mix between Diablo/Torchlight, and Japanes Culture. Visuals are fitting and the each skill, that I used so far, has its uses. 5/5, good work.

Warning wall of text :p
First off, I'm pleasantly surprised by this game, despite a little bug here and there. But it doesn't detract from the fun I've had so far. I love the change to cooldown timers. On the other hand, I'm very sad to see the karma shard revive option has gone. I found it to be fairly balanced? Low cost for the low levels so new people can make mistakes and learn, high cost later on so it became a real choice whether to keep going or not. Sure it stimulates players to invest but I'm confident there's better ways than to 'gimp' revival. My idea would be only to remove it for the last 2-3 difficulty levels of an area, or only remove it for the high level area's (15+ and higher with cap upgrades)
Personally I take it as a 'challenge' so far, to survive the whole level rather than a nuisance. You'd still have to consider the possibility of dying to lag on this type of online game though (early Diablo 3 comes to mind :D).
hi there.
Nice to see you're enjoying Akaneiro. And it's also a pleasant surprise to see something in favor of the cool down timer. Heheh. Well, we're still in the process of tweaking the values and costs and whatnot for these changes we're making. Of course it's important to strike a balance between making it fair for the players, but also stimulating a bit of spending so all us SpicyHorses can buy food and stuff :D
Hope you stick with us and continue to enjoy the up and coming stuff we have planned !!

Let's talk builds :) My current one is a very simple one I dubbed the 'thorn priest' Built around the fortitude class, it's made to endure tons of pain while dealing tons of damage to large groups of melee monsters. Just make sure iron skin and thorns are activated all the time, chi mend as an active. Collect enormous groups of melee enemies and see them fall like flies, in meantime heal and use standard attack. Dump all levels into fortitude. Use medium armor (energy regen!) and preferably 2-handers for most dps (not sure the stun even works :~ Why no chi prayer? Better have our awesome burst heal for when the going gets though. Frost ring: low damage, buggy, energy intensive and we WANT those melees to hit us fast and kill themselves. Prowess and cunning damage skills need too much investment to be worthwhile. Curious to see what builds others run :)

I havent been playing the game for a long time but im addicted to it as of the first moment i played it. the game is not too difficult but can be challenging at some point. i absolutely love the japanese theme of the game. if you ask me this is the best game thats playable for free on teh internet i give it an 10 out of 10

Great game, love the fact that there's no energy bar, but there are a few glaring issues that I've noticed stand out: 1) It seems like the 'stock' in the rare items shop is shared between all players. As such, most of the low level items are out of stock, and the high level will be out of stock by the time I get enough karma. Maybe you could have the stock be shared by the three profiles on one account instead? 2) The bonuses given by armor are HIGHLY unbalanced. i.e. The movement speed bonus does almost nothing for actual combat. The health regen bonus barely matters at all unless you're recovering from combat. The energy regen, however, DOUBLES your already fast energy regen, so you can heal almost indefinitely. Besides these, the game is frankly amazing ^_^ hopefully you fix these and keep up the good work!

would be nice if vendor gato would sell more items and better quality items
depending on how many different missions we have completed on overrun

Love the game! I may be missing it, but being able to mute everything, not just music would be nice. Also could you indicate in the shops whether or not an item is consumable or permanent?
Good idea. I'll tell the design team about the food issue. But FYI all food should be only lasting 30 minutes. (I think :) And more complex sound controls will be added in the future too. yay !!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Very good game, the loading time to launch any area is quite long, that's the only drawback, gameplay is fast and very good so is the artwork and the music, good job.

My god i think that spicyhorse is the dev of my dreams , he responds to our comments and suggestions , has awesome games. And best of all he actually updates it not just promise to update but then never do it !
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
No energy bar, no constant promotions to make us spend our money, 5/5 game to play and the developer replies to everyone's comments.
Someone give SpicyHorse a medal!

How about camera scaling abit on moving direction? right now i can mostly just snipe enemies above me as it's longest direction to see
WASD is something that's being looked to implement in the future. I can tell the team that beasties hiding behind rocks needs to be addressed though ;)

Most awesome game ever :D just needs to load faster and be on Steam too if possible so i can have it there and id be an even happier person :D
