I figured out finally why Lyris was giving me graphical glitches. I was using my Intel card instead of my Nvida card to run the game. So basically I had manually make Firefox run my Nvidia card in the settings menu. Hope this helps anyone else out with the Lyris graphics bug. Also, the standalone version was crashing randomly on its own too so yea. Doesn't seem like either the browser or the standalone are any more stable. So just stay on your Kongregate Pirate Galaxy account to save yourself time.

massive point to put in
first thing you see is the recommendation that you use wasd to move and number pad to use skills and tab for targetting
works soo well and i wish i had learned of it sooner

palala, the entire point of bp's is that mankind cannont make equipment like that without blueprints, and only the mantis have them, for a pg veteran, i though u would understand how vital bp's are to the storyline.

This game is beautiful. Some of the load-to-game scenes transition so smoothly that I'm trying to fly the ship before I actually can. I just love flying around blasting things. 's like rah, I blasted that mofo on the side of an active volcano and sucked his cargo before the debris had even thinned! Great. Not so much grindy for me then, more 'drop in and have a blast whenever ya feel like it.' Nice. I'd like it more dog-fighty, sometimes the enemy ships just turn around and shoot at you where they hover. They wanna go toe-to-toe, 's cool, especially if I have the better weaponry, but I prefer to be zipping around doing cool shyett, and basically you can! 's kinda up to the player.

Amazing game, love the background story, instead of most games that just plunge you right into the game with no story before current events. Also, runs amazingly smooth for a Multiplayer game. Though I will say, the excessive amount of side missions can be a little annoying, considering I ALWAYS want to beat all the missions, but still an amazing game. Five out of Five all day.

@athang there is a wiki for this game that can help you, try "Hitchhikers Guide To Pirate Galaxy" it has everything and anything that concerns this game XD

I think these people must have invented spatial compression, because the escape pod is larger in some dimensions than just about any ship in the game.

Why write something in Java if you're going to sense the OS outside the JVM and prevent people from playing it if they don't have the right stuff outside the java virtual machine? It's as foolish as preventing people from seeing your webpage with a "this webpage is best viewed using Internet Explorer 7" barrier.

@hipeopler if you think 1800 cryo for a ship is overpriced...? well the ship ive recently bought cost me 271k cryo and it only had that exact same tech the sub standard blaster and collector are the stock tech when you buy a new ship

I used to play this ages ago, it was moderately fun if grindy as hell. It used to run directly from the browser though, so coming back after a while to find it now requires it's own client is the hardest of nos.

@link40970 Farther energy field from LZ gives more energy per orb, there's 20-30 energy field at kalabesh to the south eastern most of the map, far away from your LZ, the same goes for other planets. Max energy capacity increases by 125 each level, starting level 10. Energy collecting doesn't bother me much, with good collector you can refill your energy to max in under 2 minutes provided you're at level with the planet.

when i see a free-to-play mmo game, i grudgingly click, expecting annother pay to win mmo. the only mmo that is really not pay-to-win is elements (which is outranked by tyrant for some unimaginable reason). please, someone make an mmo that gives me hope again.

so what was this recent UI change? there seems to be no info here or on the games main site saying anything about it aside from the update a few minutes ago: "See the brand new UI of Pirate Galaxy – now live!" yeah...see the what now? you didn't give any details at all about any change

I won't say its a perfect game, graphics are nice, but controls are terrible, gameplay is just another ordinary mmorpg
