I wish we could see the stats after a battle - how many planes downed, what types, what accuracy, and so on. It'd be cool to know how well you did in more detail than a simple score.

Worst thing in the game is that if you bomb a swarm of enemies as you die, you don't get the points. Totally contradictory to the spirit of the game. (Rate +1 if you agree, so the developer can see)

I would be very cool if you could see the entire battle replayed without the stops for turns after you get a game over.

When I started playing this game, I thought the Bomb power-up wasn't very powerful, so I didn't use it. But when I used the Bombino-B150 in combat for the first time I realized that the Bomb power-up was actually incredibly powerful. Perhaps even overpowered. You see, its explosion radius is larger than the range of almost all enemy aircraft. So with a handful of Bombs, you can demolish enemy Spotters and Behemoths without getting a scratch on your plane. Just a little tip.

I've read a lot of people complaining about historical accuracy without worrying about the fact that these are FUSION POWERED STEAM AIRCRAFT!

Commander: Ok Pilot. You're about to face an endless amount of enemies that become more cunning and relentless each time. Because we know that there is no conceivable way to survive and we are running out of time, we have given you a a crappy plane to fly and a few pilots who probably won't last the first wave. Good luck!
Pilot: Can't I just fly away when I'm weak?
Commander: ... It would be too expensive to repair you. We spent the rest of our money making AA cannons to shoot your plane down.

Great game. Maybe on a future title make upgrades for each plane? An option as simple as adding additional equipment for each plane would go a long ways. Not pointing out a flaw, just an improvement you may want to look into. 4.5/5 rounded up =)

Not sure if that's a bug, but you can shorten the gun jam after flying through a gas cloud by firing a missile - that way you can fire again in your next turn instead of having to wait three turns. Alternatively you can use a healing powerup, but since those are scarce (unlike missiles), that's a cheaper way.

Killing enemy's while going down should actually count AND give you a bonus instead of not giving any cause it counts as a "sacrifice"

just so you know, unfortunately the AA guns at the edge of the map are completely indestructible, I gathered this through observation and randomly launching my brand new Never Slow jet at the nearest one and trying to tear it to shreds, the health bar didn't go down a single pixel. However I did discover that it is possible to fly straight off the map, however you do take damage every second your'e off-map.

I love this game, it's awesome... but some after battle statistics would be nice. If you plan on making a third episode some different game modes would be nice to. Maybe a campaign and a survival mode together with some other choices such as customization for the starting weapons. Maybe a starting budget where you decide what to buy could give the game an additional edge. 5/5 for me anyway, great work ^^

Found a bug where the copper increases forever at the end of a match. can't stop it. happened after bombing a spotter.

I love these turn based strategies - and this one goes above and beyond!!! So dynamic!
Survival is a great game, and I keep coming back to it. I'm REALLY looking forward to a Steambirds 2! (hint hint)
I would like to suggest being able to control more planes in survival as well.

great game, would love to see:
ability to upgrade what you start with, maybe extra power ups, wingmen
and i'm playing the axe nearly all the time, so i like using bombs and shields heaps. and is it me or have missile damage been nerfed since the last game, where it seemed to be a one hit kill?
and i wish heal drops weren't so random, maybe one guaranteed drop after 20 kills, then 30 more kills, then 40 more kills you'd get at least one. there are games where i've racked up 80k copper and have had no heals
could each powerup heal you a little bit as well?

If you want to get the final plane, you are going to end up spending a lot of time fighting as the Axe. This one is awesome, nothing can even shoot you except the Turtle. To get around even that, turn to face the Turtle that's attacking you and slow down to a stop when you get into range. Your range is just slightly larger than theirs, so you can knock them down without more than a shot or two fired from their side.

Incredible "sequel" to the original! The soundtrack still complements the gameplay, multiplying the tragic feeling into an emotion that strikes the heart. As a game where you face off against endless waves and are destined to die, new abilities such as the bomb add a new dimension where you constantly ask yourself, "Do I want to go out with a bang or try to snatch the heal powerup?" I feel (and I'm sure that others agree) that an expansive update (or sequel) should include either enemies that can use bombs and missiles or (similar to the original Steambirds) controllable wingmen. On a similar note, this game proves itself to be a great tutorial for the original; after playing SB: S, I value my planes more in SB.

This game is quite fun, better than the first because you can play as more than one plane. However, I feel that adding in-game achievements would go a long way in sustaining the player's interest. Of course, it would be best if this game had badges. 5/5
