Great melding of concepts. One suggestion, could you place the upgrade exclamation above the unit instead of to the side, as the exclamation is often obscured.

It's like Kingdom Rush, Incursion, and Cursed Treasure had a threesome and made this masterpiece. 5/5, my friend, 5/5!

I think you people are a little confused... all this game borrows from Kingdom Rush is the concept of soldiers on the path to delay enemies. Everything else in this game: The mana pool for casting spells, the idea that you protect several instances of something that the enemy is trying to steal, the format of the upgrade tree, the idea that there are 3 distinct towers that cost successively more to place copies of... it's ALL taken from Cursed Treasure! This is a Cursed Treasure clone, not a Kingdom Rush clone!

This owes so much to Kingdom Rush that you may have to call it a "tribute" or "homage" or something. My one complaint is that the theme of child abduction seems unnecessary, especially since the player is the abductor. You could have the "gems" be candy or something like that, while maintaining everything else.

just completed it, took me about 1 hour and half, actually you can win by just spamming archers and placing some skeletons, then upgrade the archers to ice archers and boom, the enemies won't be able to move :D but anyway, this game was very good, a mix of the best tower defense games here on kong! 5/5

I like the game quite a lot. It seems to be a mix between Kingdom Rush and Cursed Treasure, but plays much smoother than either.

I really like how game developers are starting to add those melee warriors like those skeletons to tower defense games, e.g. kingdom rush and incursion. This adds a whole new style of gameplay.

another kingdom rush clone, looks like a good game though, but I have to say I'm not a fan of the whole unlocking upgrades slowly over time thing. If this is meant to be a tutorial technique, it's completely unnecessary; everyone on kong has played enough tower defense games to understand how upgrading works and what the different tower types do (after all, there is nothing new about these tower types). If it is meant to add a measure of difficulty to the first few levels, it is unsuccessful.

The fake kid idea is brilliant.
I also liked that like in "Cursed Treasure" the enemy serves a purpose and not just spawn randomly to attack you, haha:)

A good game, but it borrows a bit too much from Cursed Treasure for me to rate it 5 stars. (To clarify, Cursed Treasure is an awesome TD, it's the "borrowing" I don't approve of)

Wow, a masterpiece mixture of the existing and already well made TD games. everything fits in its place: graphic, gameplay, challenges & modes, music & sounds, sweetness & humour. Never thought that Kingdom rush could have a similar addcting TD brother 8)

A good game but the supporting towers take up all the best space and make it difficult to strategize a good defence...I guess they are supposed to...but they come off as annoying, not challenging.

Normally I would think this is a good game, but every single thing in it is just ripped from other games, even the music and sound effects. If you plan on making a "new game" at least add some aspects that are new please :/

tahnan its not the retro graphics that are the problem its the pixelated graphics mixed with non pixelated. Makes it look sloppy. I guess the maker of this looked at the top 5 tds and said how can we cash in on them. . . Okay i'm going to take all the unique parts from that game and that game and recreate them. If they did something original in this game I would rate this game better. This is a clear case of people cashing in on someone elses creativity.

I like the gameplay, but.... I think one of the things that really made the games you cite as inspiration work was a richness in their graphics. Retro 8-bit graphics have their place, but this doesn't feel like the right place for it.

Wow, excellent, brilliant, amazing. This game is soooo good. You took inspiration from best tower defense games added some unique elements and made superb game. I especially like pause and ability to see monster stats just by clicking on it.

I can't explain why, something about the 'Fake Kid' thing makes me laugh. Well thought out game, nicely done. And a complete interface! Flyover help, detailed info on units, clear layout ... can't stress enough how important the little details make the game. Too many developers come up short in that area. Top marks 5/5.
