Under rating threshold (show) Really well made game. There are like no bugs to speak of. Story, plot, mission progression, reward point system, perfect mood music, hexagon battlefield system, alert mode - all combine to make this a classic.

Under rating threshold (show) I think maybe I want to take my four stars back on this, as I am pissed at level 9--at least 7 out of 8 times it's literally impossible to get a diamond rating on level 9. Taylor gets overwhelmed even with 80 rounds of ammo, or an exploding alien jumps into the entrance of an elevator before the guy gets a chance to do anything, or something. It's largely the luck of the draw on what aliens come out of where each time. Also, never stand just one hex from an air vent, even on alert status! Even two hexes is dicey, because an exploder might come out, unless two guys are on alert nearby. I'm still pissed at level 9.

Under rating threshold (show) So the graphics aren't as magnificent as in something like XenoSquad, but otherwise it's a very excellent game. I like how the troops have different kinds of missions, not just "kill all the aliens" or "make it through without dying." Also I like how one guy can give an extra clip of ammo to another guy. (That happened plenty during the standoff at the elevator at the end of level 11.) The game is intense, and I would often wait till the next day to do the next mission, in order to prepare. The developer really should have an undo option though, as one stupid mistake (like accidentally moving the wrong guy) can result in a mission being aborted. Also I'd like to see a review option, so you can watch the mission replayed afterwards. That would be cool!

Under rating threshold (show) A good combat system, AWESOME music and good replay value even having only a few types of enemies. Campaign on normal is just the right difficulty, but to get the challenges / diamond it gets a little "find the perfect moves", and this combined to the randomness of enemy type in spawns, gets pretty difficult. i also think the acid pools should remain only during the next player turn, it gets frustrating trying to get through a corridor when every turn new explosive / glue aliens pop up. At last, I don't understand the safe area next to an alien movement... I thought the green areas (which the explosive aliens don't have and I also don't know why) were safe, but I once or twice got attacked being in them, so I think this whole thing should me better explained. Overall, 5/5

Under rating threshold (show) This might be the best flash game I've played. Some improvements I can think of: 1) A cancel unit selection command 2) The hexagon grids are hard to see at times. They should be easily visible all the time all over the map. 3) Soundtrack shouldn't be so good. It's addictive :P

Under rating threshold (show) 5. if a soldier is close to a ventilation grid, it better to keep him alert, for aliens may come out without being detected in last turn; 6. in lv12, kill all yellow tentacles and then the boss will turn into purple from red. If you cannot find one, it can be shown as an echo. When boss is in purple, hit it with bombs or flamethrower for 100hp. Purple and yellow tentacles will hit a soldier, if he is close to the tentacle and is moving away. So kill the tentacle or hit it into red before moving away, and if you have to move before killing it, do not stop halfway, the soldier may get hit for another time otherwise. After the boss turn into red, either move far away from it, or use walls as barrier, boss will splash acid to you otherwise; 7. strongly recommend to upgrade ammo in hard mode, otherwise it's impossible to kill an alien in 2 shoots; 8. magnetic bombs can block aliens and help soldier pass without staying in alert. Sprint and quickness program also help to beat the time limit.

Under rating threshold (show) Hexagon instead of square, a complex skill tree, movement and action independpent from each other, all of those make the strategy game become novelty. Some tips for getting gold or diamond medals: 1. doors in lv4 can be blocked by aliens, kill them before trying to close the doors; 2. explode aliens and glue aliens leave acid after being shoot, but no acid will appear if they are burnt by flamethrower or bombs. Also, bombs and fire can clear the acid. Walk on acid hurts less than 20hp, so the Lt. or any soldier with a shield program will not hurt by acid, but they still take damage if an explode alien explodes right before them; 3. doors in lv6 can crush aliens , so don't worry about aliens blocking the doors, but remember to activate the 2 panel in the same turn, and make sure no soldier pass the doors, a left behind will be counted otherwise; 4. in lv7, only 3 piles contain files: right-bottom, left-bottom, and left-up, the position will not change in any mode;
