Still a favorite after 5 years. Only things that drag it down for me is 1) the fact that the AI doesn't decipher between a hopeless attack and a reasonable attack, and 2) the fact that my army now seems invincible due only to grenades and vastly greater AP. However, building up my army to this point has been a great deal of fun and annihilating dozens of kamikaze samurai with rocket launchers, machine guns, sniper rifles, and.... grenades, grenades, grenades has been a LOT of fun!!! 5/5

A note: Do not listen to the Sheriff about Drushlak. The clothes cost around 40 when you get there, the min. price is around 9. Only buy the clothes from there if they cost 10-20$. Transport medicine from there into Caganel instead.

I get irritated i can never sell any weapons, and i finally had a car. Cant you buy fuel anywhere, "You ran out of fuel, you have to leave all yours cars behind"

Quick Strategy to Success! -
Pick a character with high agility (Lin worked well for me).
Talk to the sheriff and get your money.
Upgrade to hoses with carts as soon as possible.
Don't waste money on people or weapons.
Your caravan only moves as fast as the slowest ANYTHING you have. ..including people. By travelling 6 or 7kmh you'll be able to outmaneuver most of the early robbers without actually fighting ANY of them.
Buy a vehicle at Verdammter Platz so you can go 15kmh.
I made $100k's buying alcohol in Marsiah and Smerd then selling it elsewhere.
I upgraded to ONLY vehicles and sold livestock.
If you choose your words right, you can buy information about the robbers for $20K. With about 20 people and good weapons you can easily win.

I think I must have accidentally fought a caravan or patrol squad at some point. Now the Desert Patrol attacks me occasionally and I can't figure out how to fix my reputation so they'll leave me alone and every time it happens I have to either reload or send my rep further into the hole. Can anyone help?

@Beeble2003: So you want a trading game that tells you what to trade and with whom? Doesn't leave much for the player to actually do, since the tactical fight phases are just plain running and gunning without any depth.

sugar, incase you're still reading these comments, i want you to know. this was one of the first games i played when i found this website, and i have been playing on and off until this day. if you think you dont have support on caravaneer 2, always remember that i will be there to play it :D

For the people saying you can't ride the animals, your caravan moves as fast as the slowest animal. So if you want to move horse speed you need to have only horses.

Hang on, let me get this straight. My uncle was the best caravaneer in the land, and all that I get from him is a cart and donkey? Man, caravaneer standards are pretty low.

To save press the "X" below the name of the town (starting town is Poca Cosa) which will lead you to the world, where you can find new towns, fight robbers, die from dehydration, etc. if you look in the bottom right there is a wrench with CPT. written below it. Click it and then it will bring up the game menu. It will also prompt you to save before battles. Make sure you go to the main page and check out the tutorials if you can't figure things out for yourself :).

Someone in your caravan is walking at 5kmh, so everyone/thing goes at 5kmh. If you bought something that goes at 3kmh, it would bring the speed down to 3kmh for the entire caravan.

The author should take the sequel to a major game publisher. He can make more money and get more help with the programming.

How about a bank? Store some money there that you wouldn't lose if you died, (maybe collect small interest?) the ability to store items there and maybe it could only be in the starting town or another town. + up if you like the idea

I Have one problem with caravaneer: The Desert patrol killed me!!! I had 5 people with me all equipped with m1 garand and medium armor. Once I entered Patrolling area I was attacked by 3 groups of 13 robbers who were well equipped, somehow I managed to kill them all without any casualties but heavy hp loss, I said YESSSS!!! Then the desert patrol came and I was thinking"you missed it,but you can still follow me just in case," then BAM! Desert patrol attacked you prepare your people I was like WTF!!! 17 well equpped rangers killed my 5 already weakened people. WHY!!!! Can the desert patrol even attack us?!?!?!

This game is better made than many retail games that are released, if caravaneer 2 was made and sold I'd gladly pay $20 or so for it

After messing up my first game (bought a new rifle, forgot to equip ammo = gg) I finally found the durned save button. Should've been made more obvious, maybe ^^

yeah defiantly the best game on kongreagate in my opinion its just really fun once you get into the swing of it, tho when youre in a four man band and a group of 20 odd enemys come with big ass guns it gets pretty anoying, ovorall it iis pretty realistic
