Under rating threshold (show) First off, I like this game in a lot of ways. Lots of interesting trade and combat variations not always seen in similar games. However, there are a few things I'd like to see different: 1. A "skip" or "alternate order" of combat; this is primarily due to several of my characters getting stuck behind each other or a wagon, and the only option is to "end turn" for them. 2. Combat Maps -- not a fan of having to search all over the map EVERY battle for the enemies, and then scroll across the screen for EVERY attack. In general, I'd like to see more automation or a streamlining of the options here. If the battle is a foregone conclusion, why spend 10 minutes having to go through each attack? 3. Save feature IN town. 4. Friendly fire -- I know it's more "realistic," but I think it's an unnecessary complication that gums up the strategy.

Under rating threshold (show) Ah, this reminds me of Frontier from Armor Games. Although this one is much more realistic and interactive (with actual combat), the other one is superior artistically and in UI (seriously it's hard to see small white letters on a white map).

Under rating threshold (show) Just hit the main caravan tab to determine your traveling speed and resource consumption. Use the map to find distance to your destination town. Distance/speed(kmh)/24(hours/day) gives you days to travel to next location. Just multiply your resource needs by that number to find out how much to buy for the trip. Once that's done, just load up on what you plan to sell and you're good to go.

Under rating threshold (show) I really wish there were a "you are here" indicator on the map because half the time I have no idea where the hell I am. It wouldn't be THAT unrealistic - you'd probably have some idea of where you've gone in real life.

Under rating threshold (show) Everybody who finds it too difficult, make sure you pick a high-AP character to play with, like Lisa Mitchell. She can get off two rifle shots per round, and with that and one helper (again pick a good shooter/high AP) you can survive the first trip and get another rifle.

Under rating threshold (show) okay, actually dug out the numbers- wooden carts all have a load factor of 2, so small cart=2x150(donkey)-40=260, big cart=2x150-160=140 (yes, donkey pulling big cart carries less than donkey with no cart). Now, if you were using an ox- 2x500-40=960, drops to max of 300, 2x500-160=840, a small cart on an ox has less capacity than an ox without a cart...

Under rating threshold (show) defensivegod- was reading tutorial, and page http://www.sugar-free-games.com/caravaneertutorial.php?page=13 talks about transport. it seems your donkey is too small to pull the big cart. (animal transport x cart factor-wieght of cart) I didn't dig for the actual numbers but if donkey was 100, small cart was 146 kilos, and factor of 4, that would make 254. big cart might factor of 6, but 424 kg, giving you the smaller number

Under rating threshold (show) This game seems to be too realistic. You are just some person that decides to go off into the wilderness on a whim. You go out unprepared, you die. There seems to be no way to prepare because the only time I didn't die in my first encounter, I was up against 2 unarmed robbers. Every other time, I was up against robbers with swords and guns and there were anywhere from 3-6 of them.

Under rating threshold (show) Whoah. Even though the game's graphics are not as robust as, say, other games or the sequel promised by the dev it is STILL A CHALLENGE! Know how some 8-bit games appeal to some people because of the challenge they pose to the player? That's this game. Just because it looks simplified doesn't mean it's EASY! I just learned the HARD WAY that only 2 out of 3 towns in the first "route" sell enough livestock feed to make those trips. It quickly becomes a balancing act between the Goods you want to trade, the Food and Water and Feed you need, and the AMMUNITION you'll want to keep handy if you want to survive out there. It doesn't make sense to tank up on all of one thing until you're ABSO-TIVELY POSI-LUTELY CERTAIN in Iron-clad terms you can make the trip to your destination. Even then, you have to keep an eye on your wallet or you'll run out of funds to make any purchases for essentials.

Under rating threshold (show) Regarding combat, don't rush in, early on. It's easy against melee, if you're patient. Remember that it takes AP to close and then more to attack, and as someone gets wounded, they have less AP. Get an idea of how fast the fastest guy goes, then position yourself so he runs up to you but can't attack. Get one or more free hits on him with some of your AP and then back off. Rinse and repeat. The side benefit is that all that AP spending will quickly increase your max AP up to its limit.

Under rating threshold (show) @Walrusgs: No, people don't ride on either animals or on the carts attached to them. (That's for cargo.) You have to get a vehicle for you and your people; either ATVs or jeeps or the like. You won't find vehicles in the first towns, but the towns in the southwest of the map do have them.

Under rating threshold (show) @Thariel: Using your map will tell you how far your destination is, and what compass direction. (Click on your current location, drag to your destination.) Your Caravan screen tells you how much you consume each day, and how fast you go per hour (multiply by 24 to get how far you go in a day), so you know how long it will take to get to your destination. Gather supplies accordingly. It's just like using a map and compass, instead of using the shortcut of your map application on your smartphone.

Under rating threshold (show) I think I figured out the medicine, it seems its used only while you're walking through the desert, not while in battle, so as far as I know, you can't heal in battle. The game is fun, but I can't figure out how to get the badge? you have to buy $10,000 worth of stuff from the market then leave the town?
