Part 3 of 3: If you didn't hire many people to travel to Verdammter Platz with you, you may wish to hire some people along your journey. Just remember, that most vehicles hold limited people, so you may wish to avoid hiring too many. Since I purchase the Land Rover Defender vehicles, which hold 4 people each, I usually have no more than eight people in my group before arriving in Qubba.
Since you have animals I hope you brought enough forage for you to get to Kulin. Some times you won't find forage along your trip there. Luckily, the majority of games you will often find plenty in Diep Gat (occasionally also in Verdammter Platz). If you didn't prepare, hopefully this will be one of those games for you. Remember, if you are planning on exchanging another animal for a horse along the journey (you won't find any animals in Hara), you will need to account for the extra forage needs for horses. People are welcome to pm me with any questions they have regarding this game.

@J617 ty for clearing that up. btw, can you tell what are the best weapons in this game? I am barely able to make the journey to verdammter platz
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
To clear up any questions, in this game animals are solely pack animals (one can not ride them). The fastest speed one can travel is the same as either the slowest animal or person walking or riding in a vehicle. Keep in mind that every person needs to be able to ride in a vehicle to travel the speed of the vehicles (these can be purchased in more distant towns). Ergo, if you have vehicles and mules, your speed will still only be 5 mph. FYI, later in the storyline, you can not accomplish a particular task if you are only traveling 5 mph. Thus, if you use animals (such as I do), even if you start with a slower animal, at some point, you will need to sell those animals for horses (I accomplish this by selling my mule(s) along my first journey towards the NW area, so that I will be able to travel fast when I purchase my desired vehicles). Remember to purchase containers for fuel and fuel along the way, and never run out of fuel or you will have to abandon your vehicles.

@numerek i had horses but it still going at 5 km/h. I think it is because of the slowest person in my caravan, and unlike caravaneer 2 i am unable to assign passengers
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
For the people saying you can't ride the animals, your caravan moves as fast as the slowest animal. So if you want to move horse speed you need to have only horses.

PeterWR, this is why I leave the character on Martin Milloshi, use the picture of Selma Nilsson, and adjust the points how I prefer.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
There is a little bug in the start up when you choose your character. The character Selma Nilsson only havde 23 ability point. All the other characters havde 25 ability points. So she is cheated for 2 ability points. And are thus the hardest character to play the game with.

i wish instead of per month the demand/supply and import/export would happen per day, it would enable us to trade more

I have never tried to count the steps needed to improve agility. It seems to me as though those with lesser agility increase faster than those with higher agility, but that may just be my impression. I know of no cap. Besides the start of the game, where I don't move them in such an organized fashion or have them walk for so long, later in the game I take my whole group and have them line up in their turn order so that they are organized. I then take the weaker players and move them one after the other, following each other in a line. This organization allows the turns to happen faster, so that I am not walking my people for quite so long. (part 2 continued ...)

… Meanwhile, against these easier bandits, I have those with the lesser accuracy do the shooting, to help improve their accuracy. Instead of counting steps, if you have a larger group, maybe think more on the order of moving them for something on the order of half an hour at a time.... Yes, this type of walking can be quite boring, but it does help with advancing agility without having to fight so many bandits before enhancement, and this allows the weaker players to more readily improve.

question: about how many steps do i have to take to gain an agility point? im currently in a battle with all but one enemy(with a knife) dead, and im having my people run around to try to increase agility. How many steps (approximate) per agility point? is there a cap?

In this game, animals are used solely as pack animals, so you can't ride them. I normally start with mules, but later, when around Qubba, I sell those for horses, both so that I can go faster when I purchase vehicles, and most importantly, because when following the storyline, later in the game, you cannot accomplish one of the tasks going only 5 mph. Normally, in the initial three town area, there are two to four robbers, but every once in awhile, some bandits overlap their area and stray into these towns (not often). When you leave these towns, be prepared for more bandits in a group, with deadlier weapons. The closer one gets to Qubba, the more powerful these groups are. Until you are prepared to fight wave upon wave of large vehicled groups of bandits, do not journey towards those two towns in the northeastern area.

ahh, just killed the 6 robbers, i wish i could sell katanas within the safe-ish zone, i have 15 of them, i'd make thousands
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
wow i just got purchased 4 mules with carts and as soon as i left town there were 6 robbers chasing me, instead of the usual one. i can take them, just saying that wow having more animals attracts a lot of robbers
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
umm i got horses so i could go 15km an hr, but since i cant ride them for some reason i still go 6 km an hr. Is there a way to ride them, or does it not matter how fast they go if im slow?

Tonaldhump, these are the stats:
Physical Shape affects both your heath and your strength. Your health is the amount of life you have. The larger that number the longer it takes for your opponent to kill you; this number can never increase. Your strength is how much one can carry, and how far one can throw grenades. This increases only very slowly through the game, over time (you can do nothing else to affect this). To summarize, this is the most important option to select the number as high as possible.
Agility affects how far you can walk, and thusly, how many times you can shoot. It also affects the order one gets their turn in battle. But the more you walk in battle, the more this number increases. This number you can easily increase.
Accuracy is how accurate you are at shooting (FYI, 100 doesn't guarantee never missing). This number increases the more you shoot. This number you can also easily increase. (part 2 continued ...)

Intelligence is not important in this game (unlike most games). It just adds very slightly to healing and mechanic repair. Count on those you later hire to help with this instead. Because of this, always set Intelligence at 1.
The aforementioned is for those who actually want to play the game, not just get the one badge (which can be earned near the start of the game). If one doesn't want to get to actually know the game, and just wants the badge, place Physical Shape as the third most important, and consider Agility and Accuracy the most important. (But remember, if you only select Physical Shape as four, you will only have forty health, so you might like the number to be a 5 or a 6, at minimum).
If anyone has any question regarding this game you are welcome to pm me. If anyone needs any more help, I am also happy to help you walk-through the game or simply just the early part to get you started.

My father was a caravaneer, one of the best... yet his entire estate was one donkey, one basic rifle, and less money than the price of another one.

You know you have enough money if you have 1 camel, 3 mules, 3 small wooden carts, 1997 meds, 372 shirts, 100 forage, 3 men, 2 rifles, 1 shotgun, a deagle, 1 berretta pistol, 2 browning HPs, 35.46ML water and idk how much food, im in a fight... lol

Fun fact: The only song that plays, named New Tomorrow, is based off the Tuvan song kazhan tören karam bolur. Kazhan tören karam bolur roughly translates to the saying; "To acquire and overlook one's relatives' livestock." It's an amazing callback to the begin of that game in which you inherit (acquire) your uncles' (relative) donkey (Livestock). PS: I love this game, can't get enough of it.

Rakc, the tutorial link for this game has not worked for awhile, but anyone with questions is welcome to pm me directly. And for those who need more help, if we can find a mutual time, I am even happy to help walk you through or simply get started in the game. This is my favorite game after all. :)

This game seems like a very accelerated version of Caravaneer 2. Have one of the best guns most likely, FN Mag costs about 6k, as opposed to 1.5 million in the sequel. Took about 2-4 hours to get this far, takes about 20-40 hours to get that far in Caravaneer 2.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Woohoo, over 6k money, I got the hang of the game now. Thanks for the advice about the water well. Apparently being wounded reduces action points, so I was going into battle with 40% hpts and reduced action points.

Yes, now sniper at 78. This is the way to go, the Sheriff gave me the wrong algorithm, telling me to buy leather and go to Caganel. Instead, just hunt robbers close to Poca Cosa.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
So many robbers, near the beginning town, I recommend just killing robbers for money at first. The Sheriff gives bad advice telling you to buy leather and going to the next town, it is too dangerous at first. 76 sniper, I wonder if that will raise with experience?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Bah, I buy a metal jerry can fill it up, buy some food and forage, go out of town and get jumped by four robbers, doubt I'll survive. Seems nigh impossible to make it from Poca Cosa to Caganel.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Ok, thanks getting water from the well helps a lot. Still having trouble with robbers. They move faster and come in groups of two-three. Might take down one group, but the second will finish me off. Unnarmed mercenaries don't help much, and cost a lot.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Somelame, to get water, one fills up at the well. In Poca Cosa the well is located where you see the drop of water (or tear drop) surrounded by a circle, which is located at the center of town. In this easy section of the map, water is free. When buying any type of water container the containers are empty, so you will need to go to the town's well to fill up the containers with water. Instead of buying bottles, I highly recommend buying a Water Jerry Can instead. If you need any help regarding this game you are welcome to pm me directly. I would even be happy to help walk you through or get you started in the game if we can find a mutual time. (This is my favorite game, and I have enjoyed helping many people get started playing this game). :)

How do you not thirst to death? I can't last more than five minutes in the game. I bought plenty of bottles of water, but no water, so I die before getting to the second town.

I love this game but needs a little fix. When we travel and get attacked, there should be a auto setting so we dont have to manaul do the fighting.
