I've been playing this game and the sequel for almost 3 weeks. I've read all of the comments and wiki pages. Still can't get the damn achievement!

Swaginatorman: to save the game, when travelling, click the wrench icon on the bottom right of the page, then choose which slot you want it saved in. Feel free to pm me with any other questions you may have.

Nice, lost $10,000 dollars worth on a single savefile because i'd imagine the game would have had autosave. Came back to absolutely nothing.

Nance83: To save, when outside a town, at the bottom right there is a wrench. Pick any of the five slots to save. (When you are finally far enough into the game to start having conversations Qubba direction, I suggest saving before each conversation you have forward, in case you either change your mind or aren't ready to progress after all.) If you have any further questions feel free to pm me. Good luck!

Blacksirius: My saves are still here. Did you erase your cookies? Or do you have your program set to delete cookies when exiting a page? Or perhaps it is your browser? As for the badge, I can't remember, as it was so long ago, but assets doesn't necessarily mean money. I hope this helps.

After exiting the game, save slots are always gone from the slots like they save the game only when you are online. No TRUE save, no badge. This game is dead.

Lotharyx: Even though you now only have horses, since you can't ride animals (they are solely pack animals), until you purchase the amount of vehicles needed to transport everyone in your group, you will go the minimum walking speed of your people. You can purchase vehicles further away from the starting towns. (My favorite can only be purchased in Qubba or Fort Goks.) Just realize that the journey away from those initial towns can be hazardous. When arriving in further towns, I suggest purchasing Grenades (and put those in your second slots) in case you encounter a group close to you. Also, before leaving, be prepared with enough supplies, such as forage, as there is no guarantee what the other towns will provide, although they often provide a decent price for supplies which you would like to sell. If you have any further questions, feel free to pm me. Good luck!

Ok, so all I have in my party is three people and three horses (max speed 15 km/h)...so why am I still traveling at 5 km/h?...

So about the third playthrough in, I finally remember to equip ammo when I buy it, learn the mechanics and read through a walkthrough... Sell some leather, get about 3k, and buy shows for D city... 3rd batch of bandits that hit me, 23 men with guns ranging from pistols to grenades, 5 cars, and about 4 horsecarts... Foo

Kingskybomber14, sorry I didn't check the comments sooner. Yes, this is a great game. I will pm you with pointers and will try to answer any questions you have. And if you wish, I can help you by walking you through the start of the game. Anyone is welcome to pm me for whatever help they need regarding this game.

@kingskybomber make sure ur rifle has enough ammo, and in the character stats assign high physical strength. Also, don't try to go out of the triangle trade route region (poca-cosa, drushlak, caganel) as robbers outside are far more difficult. Give ur help a rifle if you can afford it

I tried to start twice, and both times I got assaulted by robbers with 3+ people that outnumbered and easily killed me and my hired help. And the tutorial button leads to a 404 not found. I'm sure it's probably a great game once you get going, but that doesn't matter to me if I can't play it.

JohnKeithTaguba: yes, wealth does regenerate over time. But the more you wipe out the town, the longer it will take to recover (of course, some towns are richer and will recoup faster).
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I went around selling jewelry to cities for 4000 dollars each and then bought them back for 700 dollars each. This led to each city having 0 wealth for each citizen. Does wealth regenerate over time?

Part 1 of 2: Fuel usage is Arctic Cat-3, Yamaha Raptor-6, Land Rover-15, Jeep-25, and Hummer-28. People need to decide whether they want a vehicle which carries multiple people or individuals. I have never heard of anyone who prefers a Jeep. For only one extra person, yet double fuel usage, the Hummer isn't preferable to the Land Rover. For those who choose a vehicle for only one person, if they have animals, they use the Arctic Cat, but if not, they may use the Yamaha to travel faster, which is the other consideration (these gamers mostly battle, and do limited trading). If you notice the numbers, the only one which beats the fuel usage of the Land Rover is the Arctic Cat, but not by much (3 x 4 people is 12). So the problem isn't the vehicle, it is having enough fuel. (I did warn you about this, and in Comments there is limited space, so I shouldn't expound as much.)

Part 2 of 2: Do you have thousands of liters of fuel? Know that the only cities which make fuel are Hara and Smerd. And if you don't bring crude oil to Smerd, it may not make fuel for you (this may also happen with Hara at times). This is part of the reason that I end up with hundreds of horses, usually 200 to 300 (but then you need to manage having enough forage). Of course, part of the reason I have so many horses is because I also like to be able to have a full supply of goods to trade along my route as I like making lots of money. In addition, I make sure to have at minimum 4000 liters of fuel before heading back to the southeastern area, and I normally have more as I never want to run out (it has never happened to me). I even sell some fuel to those towns which don't use fuel as a back-up in case I get forgetful (because I was managing forage) and realize that I am running low. To sum up, one needs to pay attention to and make plans for their fuel [and forage] needs.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
uh any advice for cars? Fuel finishes really fast, i tried the land rover defender but had to sell it (or abandon it in the desert)

To save, there is a wrench button on the bottom right of the page when you are outside of a city (either travelling or ready to travel). Just press for options. There will be five slots to choose from.

Dhruv9, I am happy to help. Due to space limitations, I did try to keep the info short, so I wasn't able to expound too much, but I am glad that it has helped you. Some of the best items, such as the M24 SWS, can only be found in either Qubba or Fort Goks (which, with the exception of vehicles, is the more affordable place for those items). You didn't mention, but I hope that you have some grenades as back-up weapons as they are essential when the bandits start near you. You are welcome to pm me with any further questions (where it is easier to give more detailed information, if you prefer). Good luck! :)

@J617 thank you for so much info! I have equipped my caravan with a variation of m4, m14 and ak 101, and I am able to fight most robbers. I can't find the m24 sws in my regions though, is it in qubba?

Postscript: I forgot to cover one of the subjects you referenced. Both the abilities of your people and your strategy in battle makes a huge difference. I prepare myself (and my teammates) in battle my two plus times around the three towns. The most important ability to improve while around these three towns is to improve your agility, which affects how far you can walk, how many times you can shoot, and the order one gets their turn in battle. The more you walk in battle, the more this number increases, so walk a lot, making the bandit(s) chase you. For novices to the game I do recommend starting the game with 9, 8, 7, 1, unless you are very strategical, at which point, physical shape is the most important number to increase (as it takes time to increase), followed by agility. Accuracy can be improved easily by shooting bandits, so if you know how to retreat in battle, this number can be reduced (intelligence is unimportant in this game as you can rely on others for that).

Part 1 of 3: Dhruv9, You are very welcome. I have seen people list different weapons as what they consider the best, but for me, there is none better than the M24 SWS combined with either the RPG 7 or the M67 (depending on the characters' abilities). At the start of the game, I consider the M1 Garand, followed closely by the Springfield M1903 to be the best weapons. I also use the Katanas which I get from the bandits as my backup weapons until I purchase better. It is preferable to give a rifle to each person in your group over having two in your possession. Since you are at Verdammter Platz, grenades are the most essential to buy. Purchase all the F-1s you can (I usually purchase all those available in both Verdammter Platz and Diep Gat). If there are too few available, you may need to purchase some of the MK IIs upon arriving in Diep Gat. Give some to each person as their back-up weapon.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Part 2 of 3: At this point in the game, grenades are truly the easiest way to save lives on your push for Qubba (this first journey there will be one of your hardest in the game). If you have the money, the best rifles in either area are probably either the M4 or the M14. Many prefer the M4, but I am more likely to purchase the M14 as it has more damage potential, is more affordable, and uses the same ammo which I will be purchasing for my M24 SWS. (I normally buy one or two of those and give them to the best people for the job.) There are a few other choices but avoid purchasing handguns or even shotguns, as they really do not compare. Besides looking at rifles, the main info to peruse is damage and accuracy, as long as both the range and capacity is decent (otherwise your current weapons are a better choice). So the only other possibilities I see located there are the M16, the AK 101, and the Baretta Cx4 Storm. Purchase whichever suits you better.

Part 3 of 3: If you didn't hire many people to travel to Verdammter Platz with you, you may wish to hire some people along your journey. Just remember, that most vehicles hold limited people, so you may wish to avoid hiring too many. Since I purchase the Land Rover Defender vehicles, which hold 4 people each, I usually have no more than eight people in my group before arriving in Qubba.
Since you have animals I hope you brought enough forage for you to get to Kulin. Some times you won't find forage along your trip there. Luckily, the majority of games you will often find plenty in Diep Gat (occasionally also in Verdammter Platz). If you didn't prepare, hopefully this will be one of those games for you. Remember, if you are planning on exchanging another animal for a horse along the journey (you won't find any animals in Hara), you will need to account for the extra forage needs for horses. People are welcome to pm me with any questions they have regarding this game.

@J617 ty for clearing that up. btw, can you tell what are the best weapons in this game? I am barely able to make the journey to verdammter platz
