normally, I don't like how modern games are just "play until you win" with unlimited lives. However, this is NOT the kind of game that should have just 3 lives. Not really a smart thing to do to begin with since the learning curve is so high getting used to the controls. By the time you did, you have played half a dozen "games" and are annoyed and will move on to any of the other several dozen motorcycle games.

Bottomless pits + inability to actually SEE the said bottomless pits ahead of time + limited lives before having to replay from stage 1 = 1/5

I didn't like because:
NO MUTE BUTTON ;-) , but the real reason is that when you loose, you have to restart from the 1st level 2/5 instead of 4/5 or 5/5... Otherwise The game is just great!

I hate how you start at the very beginning when you die it just start you at the stage where you lost. I say this 'cos I'm a noob.

I race motocross sometimes for a hobby. I do not remember any of the tracks having pits of death or steep mountain like hills. Is this the European circuit?

... to all the people who complain about lives.... its kinda easy... you should just try a little more ^^ if it had counters no1 would play it more then 3 times or less...

Oh man....this brings back memories. I played the hell out of this series when I was younger, before I discovered Kong. Back when I played games..just to play them and not for badges. I really wish it had gotten badges because to this day it is still so fun.

3 lifes is fine. If your that big of a newb and need more, then go play some other game, and stop hating on this. All i have to say is that its a bit slow, a little faster would be more fun, less time to react. and i love going up the wall at the end of the level :P

These people that say it needs more lives obviously are not good enough to play the game. 3 lives is plenty to complete the game.

*GASP* the game has lives? Better rate it a failure! Some of the best games of all time have a live system, for example any of the mario platformers. If there were no lives the game would be boring. You would never get better at the game, you would be content at mediocrety because you don't have to be any better. Too bad this younger generation will rate me down because they just don't know any better.

The game is very smooth and runs nice. The major downfall is no sound. Take the sound out of anything in life and it sucks.

day 1: peaceful day i went through this whole stage with out a mark
day2: same as day 1 but i saw 4 dead bodies on the road
day 3: hit my head on the road then fell in a giant abyss
day 3 part 2 : managed to crawl out of abyss and try again only to fall back in
day 3 part 3: i have had the longest day i crawled out again this time to finally get through this pass
day 4: this road seems to get harder and harder but i managed to pass it through day 4
day 5: here i go oh look a dear... (5 seconds later) *crash* oh look another abyss

Sound and more lives would make this game better. I like the idea of perfecting a level so deaths are welcome but I don't want to fall foul to the same level time and again if I've made progress far beyond it.

3/5. Only 3 Lives is a pain. Especially when you get to a level you haven't seen before with only one life. Map is difficult to see when the sky is in the background of it, and controls are a little bit sluggish. Overall not bad though.

only problem i'v come across is the lean back does next to nothing if the front weel is tuching the floor other than that its awsome.
