Fun game! Attempted to do a no gun run, but had to kill both bosses, a bird by the time-disappearing bridge where a ton of birds spawn on both sides, and two of the 6-armed creatures that you can't jump over. And a poor spider died when the final boss died, but I didn't kill it directly.

Extremely frustrating controls. The inability to rejump immediately upon landing makes for a significant hindrance, especially in the last boss fight and battles against the giant fire demons. The bats are the biggest annoyance though, because combined with your inability to rejump or significantly outrun them, when they come in from above you have very little time to actually hit them correctly. Dropping into places with enemies was always the worst. 2/5

Found a spot where I drop down, there are two bats and a snake. I am dropping on top of one bat, I can hold right and get past it but I can't shoot the bats and snakes fast enough. I also can't hop over the snake without hitting the right hand bat.

for newbies, get a strategy for the bosses, for example first boss, walk in front, wait for him to jump, shoot his back, same for the 2nd attack,3rd...idk,just survive enough and you'll get trough.
2nd boss fall on the upper platform, jump and hit his head. continue. bats are your enemy with that strategy.

Now, while I did manage to get the badge, after a lot of rage-inducing moments, I seriously have to ask why it is only a medium badge. The only good point being that every screen works as a save point, but the instant-death for a hit especially in the boss battle is just too unforgiving to make this enjoyable. And the control is too jerky and movement overall too fast to make this anything else than dependent on random luck. Just as a overall tip: Finish the boss as fast as possible, try to jump again after a hit in his face, the platform exists long enough so that a second hit is possiblejust before it disappears.

While I do enjoy most of this game, having do replay the boss blattles (that become increasingly more common later) 20+ times in a row because a single hit kills you becomes boring and tedious.

I have this game on mobile and still love it. I'm glad it's here, too! BOTD shed some light on a truly fantastic game.

I just got the easy badge and enjoyed seeing the rest of the game from the walkthrough. There's no way I can finish it.

NINE years after getting the badges, here we met again... I never forgot this game actually. Some times I just remembered (that game where you couldn't turn back was great). Now in 2018 it looks even better. Great sound, great art (!), everything is so well made. I wonder if a game like this was released for NES or Atari back then?! It would be a classic nowadays. Great job, five stars. And it can look a bit tricky one some screens, but it's not that hard.

I wondered why I apparently gave this game one star years ago. I remember now. Not gonna change my rating. It's just too stressfull for me.

Ah. Don't look back. One of my all-time favourites on this site. I have had badge for a long time now, but I always replay it when it's Badge of the Day.

If this game ever makes it big, maybe they could get the Boston song as a soundtrack. I'm a little dubious that's going to happen.

I actually killed the dog by jumping over it the first time and shooting it in the back, then let it jump over you and shooting it in the back again. The last time just jump over it like the first time and shoot it in the back again.
