I can't really say anything that hasn't already been said, but the depth of the game was great. Also, really good controls for such a basic game, function-wise. Now I just have to understand what it's telling me..

I love the simple but meaningful aspect and when I figured out "DONT LOOK BACK" was referring to Orpheus it really made me think about how much pain a situation like that could induce. Great game 5 stars and Favorited

I almost defeated the big demon guy at near the end. He just found it fitting to unleash a fireball during hia death sequence.

ok im makeing a walk thru for the bosses the 1st one shoot its a$$ and then for the 2nd boss shoot its head (try to combo your attacks on his head before landing on the ground) then just walk to the flying girl and go back to your start where you win but it be hard cuse you cant look at the girl

The way I interpret it, the hero is at the grave of his loved one, and he may even be thinking about the legend of Orpheus itself, thinking how he would battle through the underworld if he could, and during the game he is lost in his fantasy. When it comes to bringing the rescue back to reality, he imagines coming back to the grave yard with her and sees himself there. It was just a vain, forlorn fancy which overtook his mind, and he is woken up from it.

i agree people dont understand the consepled its like the game were you die for the people as you get bigger the point of the game it to make a point

i saw cerebus, don't know enough about greek mythology to pick anything else out.
Not sure if this is meant to be allegorical but it seems pretty straight-forward to me, the guy imagines the whole thing, when he comes back with his loved one he sees himself, and snaps out of the illusion, would be interesting to hear what the artist intended here, since there seems to be some debate over it.

It's the story of the poet and Songwriter Orpheus, who loved his woman so much that the Greek Goddess Persephone allowed him to come back to Hades and pull his woman out as long as he didn't look back to check on her.

I would like to credit the voice actor in this game. Although it was only one gasp. IT WAS LIKE WOAH!
I think the message is saying that you have to learn to let go. Just because you can go to the underworld and get someone back doesn't mean you or them is going to last when you emerge. Kinda like Dante's Inferno I guess.

Easy game, concept really is haunting. I love it. From what I gather, he goes in to save the spirit...turns out he is the spirit, and his past self, or someone to replace him, is about to take the same journey only to find out the same unfortunate answer.

The story reminds me of the Greek story about the guy who had his wife die while running from satyrs and fell into a viper pit. He missed her so bad he went into hell to go get her, had to go through all the trials and the final one was that he got her back but the entire trip back to the surface he couldn't look back he just had to trust Hades. The closer to the top he got the more he wanted to look, when he got just a few steps from the exit he couldn't take it anymore and looked back to see his wife and then saw her get dragged back into the underworld. This just has a few tweaks.

wow ... Greg your meaning for it is deep and makes it abit sadder now i understand why i had a tear in my eye >< also i don't mean to be a bother but may you please make me a mod im not much on my lvl or lvling for that matter but i am usually nice and i rarely abuse power for anything and the room i normally hang out in desperately needs a mod sometimes but if you decide not to then thank you for at least reading my comment ^^

Its good but Lord Christ its so fricking hard. I hate the stupid devil guy I killed him then died immediatly so I had to kill him again!!!

how are you suppose to kill 10 spiders and dodge over 10 bolts while stuck in a corner? good game and idea but the last boss is just cheating -.-
