You have a good concept, but you need to push the idea further. You can make the fighting scene more challenging, so there is actually a probability it fails. The player should have the ability to respond to the parents (even just "...", it still allows identification). If the game was being played on a week rather than a day, and you could for exemple choose to stay in your room, to prepare dinner with your mother, or more, and thus develop an interactive fiction about the boy.

A beautiful little satirical game and such a change from so much you can find here on Kongregate. The graphics might not have been much but the sound more than makes up for it and the minimalist, but higly evocative, story-telling is amazing. Well done and thank you :)

I'll be honest, the battle transition sound did not cause me to freak out as much as encountering a real life rat. Nice game though. Definitely a 5/5.

People have always told me "Those who abuse and kill animals for fun when they are young are bound to become terrible serial killers when they are older"...or something along the lines of that...
