@jmejmejme: Maybe someone else using the same computer got a higher score?
The score isn't submitted if it doesn't surpass the previous "best" score.
If that is the case, you might want to clear the records by pressing C and R.
You could also try another browser and see if it handles submitting scores any better.

I feel like after you beat the 45-50 second mark, something just clicks and you can keep going after that for much longer. 45-50 seems to be a common plateau for me and my friends.
Is there a leaderboard? My best is 120:59

TIP: The best strategy is to stay calm and focus. The moment you get that feeling in your stomach as you approach a new record/level is the hardest because your starting to panic and you make mistakes. Good luck everyone :)

Quite a good game, people complaining about the controls just need to play for more than 5 minutes, they are tight when you adapt.
Nice eclectic mix of colours and sound. 4.5/5

Oh yeah! 1605 seconds. Playing calming music in the background helped surprisingly much. I had music from Ludique playing in Winamp with each track being about 5 min long on average. I got the sense of progression (and along with it my motivation) back by considering each music track a level, where passing each level the reward is having your ears listen to something fresh.

@JRBaune: I could say the same about the trailer after getting good at this game and nearly bypassing the 1000 second mark; now the trailer no longer scares me and feels reasonably slow. (by that I mean 60 seconds at that speed would be no problem)

lol just realized after seeing that super hexagon trailer the game hexagon seems MUCH slower and easier then it did seconds ago XD
