Wonderful gameplay, smooth handling, slightly repetitive, but the rest of the game makes up for that. Idk about anyone else, but 5/5 in my book <3

Did anybody else think the powerups were projectiles he shot? I spent my first few playthroughs dodging them until I accidentally hit one and got more bullets! XD!

this is a little bit too easy. the boss is so cool btw :D. i like the musics its so excellent!!!! ( i hope i can make a game like you c: )

i may not need it for the *current* boss, but after a few bosses those missed powerups will make a pretty big difference, especially on hard mode. i'd understand the powerups going away when the boss dies if they were temporary, but they're not, they last until the end of the game so missing powerups will make the game much harder later on.
If you already have most of the medals, you'll max out your weapons relatively quickly if you grab every single power up.
Either way, snagging the power up is part of the fun that would be lost if you could easily just grab it when the boss died.

I for one love games like this. One thing though: why can't I just get the badge for beating the boss on easy/medium after beating the boss on hard? Seems a bit redundant...although, if you keep it that way on purpose, I can see what you're doing, giving us an incentive to play more ;D

After playing Touhou, playing hard on this game is as hard as walking. Good game, although the bullets were too slow. 4/5.

I played endless mode for 9 minutes (I timed it) and I didn't get the medal, and I wasn't lagging at all, please fix this.

My favorite part in probably every video game I've played before is the boss level, and this is only boss levels. Please make a sequel. Maybe with a story to it. :)

I died on the last level! How come this game doesn't have a "insert quarter to continue" feature. I could easily slip one into the disc drive.

It actually wasn't that hard (maybe I just play too much Touhou or something). The far greater danger was a bug where keyboard input sticks and steers you right into crap.

The hidden button is hit by clicking the O on the title screen, it tells you a list of all the random hints. Enjoy! ;)

While you must still wait for the boss the drop the powerup, the powerup no longer vanishes when you beat the boss! Since so many people wanted this, I am willing to make this compromise. Oh, and good luck hackers, you'll need it.

Simple and extremely fun. This is the game I would reference for anyone looking to make a flash game, you don't need flashy graphics or deep leveling schemes, you just need to make it fun. My only criticism for the game is that the power-ups disappear after you beat the current level of the boss, the problem with this is that many times the power-up won't show up until you have almost killed the boss and you will kill him before you can get to the power-up. Still a great game and 5/5 because you listen to criticism and are willing to make changes/fixes.

@Daikoru If you want an insane challenge with almost no room for error, go for the high score. The faster you defeat the boss in each stage, the higher your score. In order to do this on hard, this basically means you have to be right next to the boss when you kill him each time. It also means you have to always hit the boss (see the stages where he moves). If that isn't enough of a challenge and a reward (top of the high scores), that's a pity! Because I'm not going to leave 99% of the users a mode they have no chance of ever beating. That would cause more pain than good. As an aside, there MAY be an impossible badge in the future that requires getting all 15 medals. Maybe. Depends in part if people actually get the medals.

Awesome game, just one thing could make it better, after a boss dies, allow the power-up to continue to go across the screen. With the easy phases of the boss, the power-up didn't appear until it was almost dead, and even when I turn away to stop shooting, the rockets kill it before i can get the power-up =P

@slurpz Part of the difficulty at the advanced levels of play comes from the fact you have to grab the powerup before the boss dies. Also, it would be too easy to grab the powerup if it stayed when the bullets were gone!

@mactire20 Compared to most games that use a mouse, this one actually lets you get away with not using the mouse much. It's not going to be as easy, but you can aim in the general area of the boss and still move around.

Woah, I was so amazed by the graphics and the awesome jelly faces of the bosses which most likely 99.9% of kongregate's shooter games don't have . Hey future shooter games , take this as a blueprint or im gonna - you guys :D definitely a 100/5

Found this game hard to play due to the complete lack of contrast between your ship and the bullets. Most of my deaths are due to completely losing track of where I am among the bullets.

One suggestion, once you defeat a boss, he can no longer harm you. I died a few times after I killed one of the bosses because he either jumped on me or flew through the screen and KOed me. This game is great otherwise. (: 5/5
