Interesting Game. 1. Need to be able to see area each building covers by hover or click after placement. 2. Stop placing Gold Mine signs under buildings. 3. Show all depleted spots. 4. "Try to put different buildings close together for best effect" is misleading. They need to be spaced out for population to occur.

Nice country over here :) But I actually wonder, how can half-ton brick fly over several miles and not kill anyone? :D

Here's an easy way to get quick money. Build an undertaker near a bunch of camps. Plant bombs underneath a bunch of the camps. The bombs ill kill people, which will have the undertaker make profit. +1 so everybody can see this

Now, where's the gold deposit on this plot I just shelled out $2000 for?
Oh, there it is -- right in the middle of a grove of trees. How convenient that the surveyor's office didn't mention that as I was forking over all my money.

Surveyor: There is a big gold deposit here
Miner: But there is a family living there I can't get to it
Surveyor: But dude there is a BIG gold deposit there
Shop keeper: Dude he said a BIG gold deposit here take these mini nukes
Miner: Ummm Ok *blows up house* OH HEY LOOK A LOT OF GOLD!!!!
Family: A**Hole

I might be stupid or am reading the instructions wrong, but I cannot, for the life of me move my truck. Ive tried using the WASD, arrow keys and the mouse to try moving the truck but nothing happens.

For those who experience inability to drive the truck: Go to options (in the upper-right corner) and disable particle effects + so people can see and earn the kongpanion!

Could use a lot of tweaking - possibly most importantly, why is the town part of the mining screen at all, let alone something you can incidentally blow up if there's gold under it? I'm glad it's not a physical obstacle but it's not the greatest idea.

If you want to avoid having to restart because you ran out of money, make sure your town is generating income early on in the game. It doesn't have to be much- the smallest explosives aren't terribly expensive and you can always skip two or three days. Simply placing a tavern is enough to get some income.

Someone out there was probably really disappointed when they moved into my town with the promise of daily golden showers, and only saw actual raining gold

@warlordfox: The arrow doesn't say whether it's a good deal or a bad deal, just whether it's up or down from the previous day.

I don't want to be the stupid, rude troll comment. But I mean... how is this fun? I just don't understand how this is supposed to be entertaining... and for me, that's saying a lot. Getting this easy badge was just a lot of boredom, and waiting through this overly drawn out game

Great game, overall, but there are a few disappointments, namely:
1. By the time I decided to get a second plot(because I could, not due to lack of space to mine or anything), I already maxed all but one upgrade, it would have been nice to unlock more upgrades (I don't know, increased bomb AOE? increase base size further?), something to make it feel worthwhile.
2. Trees! The first half of my first plot was thankfully bare because I can't count how much money I lost to them just clearing the second half.
3. The edge, most of the time gold would bounce back from the edge but on occasion they wouldn't.
And finally, 4. A good dozen times, the gold locator map (or whatever it's called), pointed me to only "ok" areas, making me waste my good bombs, while my randomly placed poor bombs would be turning up "excellent" all over the place.
Ultimately, none of this is enough that the game could be called bad, but it really drags it down from great.

Really cool game. The only two things I don't care for are;
1. I would prefer to scroll the map by grabbing and dragging with the cursor.
2. I wish all the bombs detonated simultaneously, rather than in succession.
Other than that, 5/5.

yes, the truck wont move in my game either.
I think this is because the arrow keys move the screen and the truck and thus they simply don't work when the truck is on the screen.

If you want to prep where you'll mine the next day: Once you get the surveyor he you will get a hint where a gold mine is every day. If you check the building map and search for it you can find out where the gold is before the day begins, then set your HQ in the nearest area and prep your explosives.

I bet it is really awkward when somebody shows up to your little town. It's like, "Hello and welcome to my town!" "Uh... what are you doing with those explosives?" "Oh, you know, just mining for gold." "DON'T PUT THEM ON MY TENT!" (BOOM) "YOU BLEW UP MY HOME!" "Well, I'd best go drive my truck over all these other tents, feel free to shop at the Yum general store or the Overturned Barrel tavern. Enjoy your stay."

So I was noticing that if I used explosives near the edge of the map, some of the gold would fly off screen. My first reaction was to use Kongregate's "full screen" mode. When I did that I couldn't use the truck anymore to get the gold ores. All I could do was end the day without having picked up any gold. When I was back at the menu I didn't have enough gold to buy even the cheapest explosive, so I'm unable to progress any further in the game.
