the only thing you need is a spy, and a heli-r. spy rescues all the civs and vips then evac then destroy everything with heli-r.

Klaue, for the final level I suggest using 3 types of troop: Commando, Molotov, and Grenade.
Grenade is only used to take out the enemies around the entrance, so you don't have to worry about being shot immediately, after that it's all Molotov and Commando - Commando for taking out the Heli- enemies from long distance, and Molotov for the rest. No need for the bridges, as the edges of the lava pools don't actually harm you, so you can just land and jump up without worry. You don't even need a Spy with its larger jump for getting stars - they're all in reach. For the last star, Molotov the base of the tower, and once all enemies are dead, give it a couple of seconds before jumping up and grabbing the last star, so you won't take damage from the rubble before the Level Complete screen loads.
You don't need upgrade points nor vehicles - just Commando, Molotov, Grenade, and Tactics. You might even be able to flawless it.

For those upset about losing troops, the game doesn't save during gameplay. This means just reload the page. Your last save will be after the last completed mission prior to the one you were on and all your losses (and gains) from the the one you were on will not have happened as far as the game is concerned.

ok, I had fun, but the last level just sucks. only ground units when you probably spent all your stars upgrading vehicles already, no way to revive dead soldiers so those stars are gone for good, no way to restart a level without losing the guys that fell.. if you focused on vehicles and spies, this just means you have like one good unit for it. and if that one dies (mine did because I got myself a time bomb guy to see how it works and the bomb sloped down right into my starting area as I didn't know it was physics affected, yay), you have to try it with level 1 guys that get oneshotted by the enemy.
Despite gaving several generals in tanks and helicopters. whoo.

my tactic is: use a spy to sneak in and rescue the civilians, then use a tank/helicopter/other random unit to destroy everything else.

It is annoying that shoot and change units are the same button, I killed by spy with a grenade when trying to get her further away before throwing the grenade.

Lol I never bought a foot soldier besides the spy, so I just decided to try to do the last level with only a maxed Rifle... Thank goodness I invested in 5 medkits... lol I succeeded, but needed every single one. I was very sad when my two helicopters couldn't fit through that little gap to help get the gold medal...

Boring and exactly the same as all the other city sieges. I legitimately was convinced I was playing a different one for 6 levels and was annoyed I had lost the badges on this game somehow. Turns out nope, they're just that identical I couldn't tell the difference. 2/5

I cannot get the "start next mission" level button to work after selecting my units in Chrome and Firefox just locks up with a action flash script error. =/

suggestion: make a sniper character that is insta-kill for infantry has a big red crosshair where he's gonna shoot and a extremely long range.

If you need to end a mission don't abort the mission, go out through the menu. You'll have to take penalties if you just abort the mission.
