I've caught everything under the moon but a sail type fish or large shark. Is it me? I use all the top lures/bait and nothing. Been playing almost 4 days now.
Besides that, I love this game. The bait shop SO needs to get a new line of sport rods/reels and fly fishing poles in. Other bait ideas: fish eggs (roe) for the bass and pike, and the almighty cheese puff (carp killer). A fish finder would be handy also (minimap radar).

I think I've run into a glitch where I can't buy anything from the shops. I'm trying to figure out a way around it but I'm not having any luck. I bought the Bottle-Opener spoon from the lake store and now I can't buy anything else.

If the developer does make another game like this it needs to have a speedup button because this game is a little to real.

I fount a glitch where if you fast reel right near your boat it causes you to indicate that you can cast but not having the option to

omg fix the controls my noob fisherman quickly reeled in the line when i wanted him to jerk it... lost 5 fish cuz of that glitch

Ugh, why can I only find small sharks and not big ones for the Adept fishing liscense? Also I really love the grumpy old fisherman, he's pretty fantastic.

love the game....been sitting indoors sunburned all day playing this.....only thing I would add would be a warning when you hit the new game button....I hit the new game button by total accident....fml....lol....at least I have something to do all night now....gg :)

Pretty good game, quite enjoyed it, though a mute would be nice. Also I seem to always catch the fish I need jus before the challenge for it starts then I can't seem to find it again.

Fishing in Real life is so boring, but this game actually is fun
but i'm sitting here and try to catch a shark for some time now :D

Not sure if its the last mission, the 5 Sea/Fresh-Water Toughs in a row. But anyway, the damn Salt-Water side of the mission is causes more rage than any game has gave me in quite some time xD I've got to 4 3 times, then hook up on a shark and the jerk snaps my line. Rarely whine over a hard game, in fact I prefer it, BUT, maybe just maybe widen the sweet spot for sharks ever so slightly?

your tutorial greatly needs work. i didn't want to read any of it. could you not just overlay simple instructions while the fishing is going on??

I've noticed that if you are already reeling when a fish tries to bite, the fish automatically is on your hook and the screen sort of freaks out before allowing you to start the fish battle.

This is a wonderful game! Besides a few kinks, such as when one reels in and you can't cast, it's a lot of fun. A solid concept that is both casual and more hard core, it offers a wide range of fun for users across the spectrum. I would agree with what a few other users have said in that it would be nice to have more upgrades, such as poles, boats, even out fits might be a nice perk. This may be a bit nit picky, but I would love to have the option of choosing between genders. Is it possible that a female character can be created as well?
All in all, I liked it! I hope it sees the front page of Kongregate with achievements in the future!
Depending on the general reaction that this fishing experiment gets, I was hoping to go further with the concept with custom characters, customized rods lures and bait (including color, scent, etc), and maybe even a map where you get to pick the location and the game constructs the background and fish types for you based on your choice (so rare fish don't so much spawn less frequently, as they only spawn if you pick the correct spot on the map, etc).
I have big plans for the sequel/follow-up if it takes off :)

ok i find it extremely hard to secure the fish... It should be able to be done using the "pop" move, instead of a double click

Needs more upgrades. Cool concept, but it'd be even better if you could buy new poles, reels, boats, etc. Maybe have each upgrade give do something? Bigger fish, large sweet spot when you're reeling, etc.

Would be nice with a library that would state where fish are and there prefered bait. I have been searching for the yellow Bullhead for over an hour and still no luck. Id assume location one, but tried for over 1/2 an hour at either with no new fish caught. Tried every lure/bait i can buy at the first 2 and still no luck. Bout to leave since im stuck.

Anyone catch the yellow bullhead yet? Cant seem to find one at either location. Im assuming the canal and that it is the large black shadow fish, just havent been able to hook one yet.

Okay, describe the red line and gold arrow when trying to catch fish and why you lost the fish. I figured it out and now this is one of my favorite games of all time. 5/5

The catching end of things is kind of confusing. Other than that it's a really fun game. I just can't catch a fish hehe.
