My only problem is that the controls can feel slipper at times, basically when you're trying to make precise movements where the game demands it. In conjunction with the merciless result of death (back to the entrance, not to the edge of where you died) are the only things that I don't like about this game (and a bunch of whiny noobs dealing with this are probably the reason this game is only rated 3.79)

Awesome game! One complaint though. A LOT of old style zelda games n what not had several characters kinda spiced throughout to give you hints if you got stuck. Woulda been nice to see that instead of wandering around aimlessly at times.

Hey, guys, if you want a good walkthrough of how to do everything and get every chest, there's a good speedrun here:

Rostef = Forest
Lacste = Castle
Trohn = North
Woshad = Shadow
Bosiniad = Obsidian
Gundernourd = Underground
Ghethis = Heights
Is there any meaning to Sardol?

@BebiBliss: Just wait in front of him. As soon as he shows you his hard violet abs, slash him. 3 hits should do it. He won't attack you unless you attack him while he's blocking.

To be honest, this is one of the best little Flash RPG games Ive ever played. Thank you so much for creating/posting this on Kongregate.

Puzzles not being solved when you re-enter rooms and paths being blocked behind you make exploring risky and repetitive , but otherwise awesome.

Will there be a sequel to the bloodless ending? I loved this game ^O^
Btw ignore that last comment, I hadn't gotten a secondary weapon yet so the inventory didn't show up until I got the wand derp xD

I don't know why the watcher bothered, you would have had to go through everything to reach the owl anyway. A better plan would be to hand you the seed before you run into shieldspire.

Timeblog, could you please make a sequel to this game if so possible. It was a really awesome game and i would appreciate it if you continue with these awesome game(s).

=_=' Exited a cave, stepped on a button, a rock fell so that I can't go back, was killed by monsters, respawned on the wrong side of the rock. Now I'll have to restart so that I can even play the game... :P

I spend HOURS playing this game only to get to the end with one shield piece remaining which I then proceeded to look for for another hour without success. This game needs, at a minumum, some interim badges and perhaps one hard one for obtaining the bloody seed. Come on KONG.
If you can't find the last chest still, there's a walkthrough in the description :) There are some interim badges programmed in, but Kong decided to only go with one hard badge.

Extremely nostalgic and NES-styled game, the music, graphics, map layout, and feel really added to it. The puzzles really led me back in time to when I was a kid playing Zelda games on my Gameboy. My two only beefs with the game is that some areas are hard to distinguish as 'doorways', and the fact that there's no way to tell what treasures you mised. The doorway example can be seen in the *spoiler* lava temple, in the entrance to the boss lair, where I went in circles for half an hour until I noticed it with the help of a walkthrough. Otherwise, very polished and well done game, you should be proud of it!

on the owl level, i was trying to defeat the owl, then all of a sudden i glitched out and landed on a part where you can't go to, nor can you move out of it. help?

Great game, but add me to the list of people who can't get Save to work. Please get this fixed, as its probably people like me going for the badge that are driving your ratings down.

Ok the gamoe /should/ auto save, but in my case it didnt. It just all went gone, and looking through the comments, on every page someone has a save issue. So there *is* something bugged! Don't tell me everything is alright. Meh. I don't want to start all over again.

The only thing i really missed was a map. I played it two times since I missed a few gold amulets and didn't find the way back up. I realised that about 75% of the additional time I spend at the first run was trying to find out where I am supposed to go next or searching for my way leading there even if I knew it. And I wouldn't even need a "you are here"-point but only an overworld map, perhaps on the space you have left in the inventory. Besides that the game is really great.

Hey, TimeBlog. I'm having the same problems that a lot of other users are saying they are. I can't seem to find all of the seed pieces. I went through each and every point on the walkthrough, excluding Lacste, which is blocked off. Are you sure you need to collect both treasures in Lacste to complete the dungeon?
Yeah, there are two. One is in the first level, and there's no way around it--it's in the middle of the only path to the next room. Second, there's one in front of the burnable tree that leads to a switch. You also can't beat the dungeon without touching that switch, and the chest is right in the way.
