if you want to get rid of the lag, go to http://www.dailyfreegames.com/free-games/adventure-games/seedling.html , download it, and open it using Windows media player. (you might need to left ckick and select "show all") + so others can see.

You know what I REALLY appreciate in this game, the little "pause" after you finish a conversation with someone. I mean, I can't remember how many times I've had to redo (and rage over) the conversation over and over just because I pressed the skip button to fast.

-Pushs 'R'- Do you want to reset? Well, yeah I guess cause I stuffed this floor up and I want to redo this floor so -pushs Y- ........................ ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!

The Watcher is a jerk. If he had a sense of morality he would've confronted me before killing the Shieldspire and explained that there was another way to get the seed. Then I could've just choosen to be evil and had an epic battle with him at the end.

I Loved it! Nice game, sometimes it reminds me of Zelda, how he swings the sword and the light who follows you. 5/5
And for those who want to restart, but dont from the beginning, just the part you are, just press escape and you return to the menu, press whatever another key and you return to the beginning of where you are, not the beginning of the game

There should have been a way that you could get the seed without doing those bad deeds... Maybe it is much more difficult and time consuming or something, but it would ease our minds and hearts that were touched by this game.

That f***ing oracle, I wanted to help... sure, but I wasn't given a choice. I HAD to burn down the trees. I had to kill the bosses. What is there was another solution to the boss battles?
Not playing the game is the alternative solution. Letting the character sit in the world without doing all of those bad things. Yes, it's less exciting, but you shouldn't do bad things just because they're more exciting. Anyway, that's my two cents.

the true evil in this game is that fat guy than people call oracle and at the end he just kills u horable we should burn his tree :D

for all of you with complaints, this might help... DEVELOPER RESPONSE FROM TIMEBLOG
Nintendo had a lot of time and resources that I, as a freshman college student working between classes, didn't have. If only this game varied from Zelda on any level.

i just took 2 hours beating bosses, collecting items, finding chest pieces, my bed time is in 30 min., thus shutting down the computer and resetting, and now i cant get the seed because of the watcher... will someone please shoot me...

It's funny, how killing a fictional white sprite, just some lines in a code, can give you such a bad conscious. I had to tell myself "It's just a game!" repeatedly.
That is the art of illusion. Good job, TimeBlog/Connor Ullmann + co.

Great game, but im stuck and dont know what to do next. I got dropped into the purple hole and saw the big monster. Now what.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The game definitely needs a map, I've spent hours walking around and finding myself at the same spot of the world a dozen times... For the rest, good storyline!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This game is good, all it needs is a sequel, a map, shops to buy things, and maybe a multiplayer mode where you can play player created maps with a friend! Or maybe randomly generated maps, either are fine. Keep up the work, and I hope these ideas get put into consideration

Just one thing...it would be really nice if each area had its own light level, instead of constantly changing. I know it's to simulate the process of day and night, but it's just really annoying.

There is no way of saving your progress, is there? IMHO that's far worse than the lacking map feature. Otherwise really nice Zelda-style game with a nice background story.

In response to Timeblog on my last comment:
Ahh, ok. I can see where you're coming from with that. I would suggest then your message would have come across clearer if you had given the protagonist a character of his own instead of a blank slate. There are a few exceptions to the rule, but by leaving the protagonist open to be a vessel for the player, it is very difficult to see the character as disparate from the player.
I appreciate your reply and the insight on your thought process there.
Again, fun game. I look forward to your next works.

Fun game, but I don't feel like the whole morality thing worked.
Most of the game I just felt like I was 'playing it wrong' by finishing the dungeons in the only way possible. And then right at the end the difference between endings didn't end up being about the choices you made, but how much of the game you completed.
While this was a fun game to play, it probably would have been better if you just made it flat out linear, with only one ending.
Also, the controls are a little glassy (at least on my computer), which makes the lava dungeon just a pain to get through. : \
Overall, while I'm being fairly negative, this game is some pretty good work and shows promise for the developer. I just wish this had been polished up a little more.
I feel that I didn't really deliver the storyline totally correctly--you aren't the character; you are simply playing through his ordeals. The idea is that the character is making all of the choices (choices that a "simpleton" in his situation would have made), but the first choice that the player, not the character, is allowed to make is with the Watcher. It was supposed to be a late-game joining of the two "entities," but many people have taken to seeing it in the traditional light where the game would treat the character and the player as one, in which case the game falls short on choices.

The gameplay is great, but the ending is disappointing. 4/5 because I don't understand why planting a tree at the end protects you against the monster who wanted you to get the bloody seed (that guy should be the final boss IMO, because the owl is too easy).

After finishing both endings, I enjoyed the game, as well as the music. Very clearly the theme is of our choice; morality. The main problem I had with how the game plays is you cannot choose to avoid committing the sins which need redeeming in the first place. After playing about halfway through, I restarted, thinking If I could collect the gold pieces, then turn around come the guardians, I would complete the game as a moral person. However, working to get the conch or any keys wont work without killing, so you really have to be immoral, with the final redeeming. I doubt you'd edit the game at this point, however, in the future, perhaps make the game more open to our choices from the start, rather than choosing "yes" or "no" at the end. Either way though, I really enjoyed your game. The music was nice too, so pass that along to your composer as well. I'm glad to see there is a sound track; too many games are made on flash with great music you can never find.
