So, I couldn't help but notice that if I upgrade my troops' skills directly, (agility, speed, strength, etc.) I can just send my starter troops out to the enemy stronghold at the very beginning and decimate it. I feel like that's a little too easy . . . :P

Awesome game, better than the 2 imo, I'm still playing it after so much time. But it gets really easy when you practiced a bit, would need a very hard mode :D

The key to winning is aggression. Push as hard as you can, and take as many produciton buildings as possible, using towers for extra power when needed. When spending skill points, max out xp first, then get agility, attack, speed, and defense in that order. You can win hard in 25 battles in about an hour and a half this way, and should only have trouble with levels when you're sandwiched between both enemies. For those, focus on one like crazy, and then whittle the other away. Those are the only ones hard enough to lose on, and just restart if you get pushed into a corner.
For the bosses, kill the turtles top leg and focus his head. Kill the scorpions middle arms and then head, and for the octopus, kill middle 3 and then head. This works for me with the chinese, and should work with egyptians or romans as well, but I haven't tested it.

The Egyptians are the only ones I was able to beat the game without grinding. Romans are too slow against bosses, and the Chinese are too flimsy against everybody. But aside from the bossed, I found the Romans the best for normal battle.
