I bet we buy the upgrades from the tow-truck guy who goes there and saves us from the zombies. That'd explain why its $1500 for a broken propeller....

I love that buying a cheaper upgrade reduces the price of the later upgrades by the price of the cheaper one. Often overlooked detail in upgrade games, makes this game pleasant.

Body builders would be dangerous but think about MMA fighter i mean who wants a zombie Anderson Silva after there brains?

the funny part is, the basic car peaks about 100 mph w/ best engine and transmission. You don,t even go an entire mile. JUST FIND A HUGE GAS CAN AND FILL IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because if you were the pilot of a helicopter and I saw a guy driving up in a heavily armored truck with a machine gun on the top, rocket booster on the back, tires with massive spikes and who knows how many guts corpses and gore stuck in the grill, I wouldn't suddenly take off before he killed me.

We are out of gas what do we do?? Take the credit cards from all the zombies and buy a NASA spaceship engine, of course! (NASA really needs the funding)

For those having a difficult time getting the challenge, I find the best start to be: Propeller + 2 upgrades (1200), (Max-1) gas, best wheels, the $200 transmission, and best engine, leaving you with $40. You can get 750+ meters first day with this!

Why do I need a helicopter when I already have a rocket propelled truck with an auto-turret? That's like at least 60% of an Optimus Prime

There is a bug at challenge mode. If you restart the game when you finish your 3rd day race, but before you press ok to accept the money and return to your garage, then when you load the challenge save you would be at day 4 and there wouldn't be any time limit. That way you could max out your equipment and even get the hatchback challenge badge(though you would have to reload after you do the 1000+ feet for the badge to register.)

awesome game but I don't understand why you have to pay for things that no ones there to stop you from taking and not paying for them

To get the hard badge:
Get 7000 car. Start Config: MAX wheels, MAX transmissn, LV2 motor, MAX fuel. Try to get more than 6000. If you keep your nose up before hitting zombies you will loose less speed. Harder you hit zombies more bonus you get.
Day2: Buy boost & upgrade to lvl 6 or more, Use your boost just before fuel finihes, you will make nearly 7900.
Day3: MAX motor, upgrade guns lv6, you will barely have any money left if not buy boost.
Now the trick is to get past the box barrier. Save and use all of your boost at the middle of the 3rd ramp of the 3 ramp part just before your fuel finishes. if done right You will fly over the boxes and make 1100 ft.

for those who want a hint for the hunchback challenge, you aren't trying to break the boxes. you are trying to fly over them. got 1082 ft :D

How to get hard badge: Max motor, transmission, wheel and spend the rest for fuel. Play well and don't use your engine when it's not needed, let the car's momentum get the car going. Try to reach about 2360 ft left. Second day: Max fuel, spend the rest for weapon. You should have 8 bullets. Play well and try to reach 2185 ft left. Then max weapon and spend the rest on boost. Boost only when there are some zombies that will make you stop, or a hill that will make you stop (or both). Don't waste it, use it in small amounts only when needed. When you reach the crates, use both your engine and boost and try to be as fast as possible to break through the crates.

@ WhatTheNin the strategy is not just about buying all the upgrades. It's about beating the game as quickly as possible by buying the right ones.
