Day 1: Upgrade fully Transmission, engine, and wheels. Upgrade the rest on gas.
: Aim for at least 730 feet. Never release gas. Do a wheelie to make it easier to crush zombies, if you have 60 or less mph. Otherwise, they will go splat like a knife through hot butter.
Day 2: Upgrade gas. Buy the booster and the gun. Upgrade booster.
Run: Aim to get at least $10,000. To do this, you'll need to utilize the boost to pass zombies. It takes a little practice, but the idea is to boost on uphills. If you do it right, the uphill will act like a ramp, and your hatchback will fly, at least temporarily. Do this effectively; that is, you will need between 0.5-1.5 seconds of boost to make this work. You will not need your entire boost gauge to do this.

For the Hard badge: First day - buy the 37" MT Wheel, 120hp V6 Engine, fwd support, max fuel tank and the propeller with 2 upgrades (you should have 240$ now). Try to reach 750 ft. Second day - buy the 4wd support and the "Old good rifle" with 4 upgrades (you should have about 200-400$). Try to reach 900-960 ft. Third day - max out the old good rifle and put the rest on the propeller.

thumbs this up so people can see this really good tip i found out! if you want to conserve your bullet hold you car upwards so it does a wheelie and if your high enough if wont shoot the zombies then just bring it down to kill the larger ones!

So with a totally upgraded truck i run out of gas at 115 ft. of the heli? Well, that's a bit of a dissapointment. And why the hell won't the guy just get out of the car, take his huge epic mini gun with him, and walk the last 115 ft. to the heli? Little bit of training exsercise won't do you any harm during a zombie apocalypse...

Badge Guide: Day 1 - Max out Trans+Engine+Tires and spend the rest on fuel. Hold down the Only take your foot off the accelerator if you're going to be off the ground for more than about half a second. Try and keep your wheels parallel to the ground. You should get around 730 ft. Day 2 - Max out fuel, get the autogun and as much ammunition as you can afford. Do the same as before. When you reach the final hill, it's broken into three slopes. You should be able to get part way up the third. If not, restart and try again. Day 3 - Put everything into Boost. Do the same as the previous day, and when you hit the the third slope of the hill, hold boost and fly over the barrels. Don't bother voting up, just repost. Credit for this goes to razzfallow, this is how I got the hard badge.
(I literally just copied and pasted someone post 'cuz they said to repost)

~~~HARD BADGE~~~ ---Day 1--- Max Engine, Max Transmission, Max Wheels, Level 8 Fuel. ---Day 2--- Max Fuel, Level 1 Boost (just buy), Level 2+ Weapon. ---Day 3--- Level 7 Weapon, Level 7+ Boost. ~~~Driving Tips~~~ Do not accelerate right at the start. Let the car just go down the ramp on all days. Always land on both wheels. Tilt backwards when you are going over small rocks. Let go of accelerate when you know you are going to be in the air for more than 0.5 seconds. When you have boost, save it for the 3rd slope (use it when you are at the lone cactus). If on Day 2 you havent reached 720+ ft (2306ft left) then quickly press ESC and RESTART that run. On Day 3, use ALL your boost on the final slope at the lone cactus and tilt your car backwards (left arrow). I managed to get 1081 ft WITHOUT flying over the boxes
@ Stomatolog I'm sorry, but I struggle to believe you got 2000 + feet on the first day of the challenge with the hatchback.
Are you definitely doing it right? You have to complete the game first to unlock challenge mode, then pick the 1st car + $7000 package.
It's tricky, but I managed it, just buy the best engine, best suspension, best wheels and as much fuel as possible on the first day. From there, I bought half and half of ammo and boost on day 2 and 3. At the hill before the crates, I used all my boost to gain some air, which smashed through most of the crates and got me the achievement.
When it says "2014 ft left" in the corner, you know you've done it.
+ this comment if you found this helpful, so other people can see it.
I find it odd that even when no one is around you have to pay for upgrades... I mean it is the zombie appocolypse after all.
Stupid Human: There's 5 feet left between me and the end....... SHould I get out and walk, or go back to the garage and buy more fuel for my rocket?
Defined game mechanics and well-balanced upgrades make the game fun enough for a playthrough or two. Overall a nice experience, hope the 2012 version is even better.
I bet we buy the upgrades from the tow-truck guy who goes there and saves us from the zombies. That'd explain why its $1500 for a broken propeller....
